I had a colonoscopy last week, Bangkok Hospital Hat Yai. Total cost, including the removal of five polyps with biopsies, thankfully all benign, was Bht50k. Unlike my previous experience at the Sikarin Hospital Hat Yai I felt no discomfort during the procedure, I was fully sedated and woke up in the recovery room. Prep with Picoprep wasn't so bad as previous prep regimes. All in all I was very happy with the Bangkok Hospital Hat Yai.

Congrats and Thanks for the update...

  • Same here. I had mine at Bangkok Hospital in Trad. The pre op medicine caused an earthquake in my lower abdomen, like a bomb went off. I just stood in the shower with the taps full on. So don't ventur

I have had two colonoscopies. Got them both done at one of the RAM hospitals. Cost was about 25,000 baht each.   The op is no problem but the bowel prep is not pleasant

  • Year and half ago I had one done at Loei General, under 10,000. Many people do not realise that it is the same doctor in private hospital has general

50k is a bit steep for a happy polyp ending mate. But as long as you are happy, then that's what counts.

I think that is  a fair price considering he had 5 polyps and biopsies at a private hospital.  Prices are rising everywhere on everything.  IMHO

Maybe. Perhaps it was 35k for the scoping plus 1,500 per biopsy on each of the 5 snips.

As far as I'm concerned it's value for money, they fitted it all in to my timetable, everything was carried out with minimum fuss, or sitting around and waiting. There is a family history of colorectal cancers so I'm not about to penny pinch.

Thankfully I don't have a limited budget, you get what you pay for, the Bangkok Hospital Hat Yai is well run, minimum fuss, minimal waiting, I can fix dates that suit me. So yes I'm happy with the hospital.

Afterwards, in the op room, out like a light, and wake up when all is done. No after effects. They film the whole procedure and give you a CD to ensure no hanky panky. Just don't let your mates get their hands on it! You'll never live it down after nightly showings at your local 🤣🤣😳😳r some bright spark uploads it to his OnlyFans account.

So how much did you pay there?
