Reggae?  I had a very enjoyable night at the Trenchtown bar on Buakhao near Treetown.  Small place, band were very good and played of course mostly familiar tunes.  Also on LK Metro but haven't been in that one, suspect the same band(s) on rotation.

I've been in both.  The one on Soi Baukhao is good.  Friendly and pleasant staff.  Great vibe.

The one on LK the staff are pushy.  Went a couple of times, same experience, never been back.

Did you check out the reasonably new Las Vegas place on Soi Diana?  It has A/C.  You won't know it until you walk through the air curtain.  A/C is a reason why I sometimes go to places like Rolling.

Since it's been enclosed, sometimes it's a sauna in there.  Are they trying to save on electric?   Over the years, I have always bought the staff member serving me a lady drink towards the e

I prefer a more intimate place, as in, the band is just "there" within the crowd, on a small stage.  Las Vegas on Soi Diana is a large establishment.  The band is on a large elevated stage.  Good band

Good to know, thanks!

There's a funny little bar on 2nd Road at the entrance to the Myth Night Soi.  It's on the right hand side as you look at Myth Night from 2nd Road.  They were there when it was the Made In Thailand Soi.  Been there for decades.  The owner must be family of the land owner.  It doesn't get a big crowd, but last time I went it was busier, so good luck to them.

I go in there sometimes to support the place.  Funny staff.  Very old, but not pushy, and always happy and joking.

The band guys are friendly and play whatever you want.  If they ask you for a request, they usually play three songs of that band one after the other.

Interesting. I do know that bar and over the years, I've stopped off there and thought the band was bloody awful! ☹  That's why I didn't mention them in my OP - I think I blocked them out!.

That said, I started by saying ", "stuff" changes rapidly in Pattaya" so time for a little stroll along Myth methinks.

I remember those older guys.  Not the best.  Been playing there for years.  There's a younger band in there now.  Very talented drummer.  Sings, and drums, both well.  It still has the glass wall at the back, and sliding glass down the side.

Go and check it out.

A word of warning about all the bars and bands I have mentioned, they give bands a night off.  Try to chose the nights the house band is playing, because that's the band I am describing in my posts.

Live music is one of my favorite things about Pattaya.  Also, all the different cuisines here. Restaurants representing a lot of different countries here.  It's great.

I used to go to the Wonderful Bar 1 and 2 on 2nd Road sometimes, but the bands there dropped off, and the traffic just a few meters away picked up.  Not so pleasant anymore.

Thanks for contributing but since when has Pattaya Beer Garden had live music?

It's always been videos displayed on multiple screens.

Is PBar still hosting live acts - are you sure?

Irish Wolfhound - thats on Soi 4 Pratumnak, right?

yeah... ask chatgp !

That is a blast from the past, I did too over 20 years ago! They played 'Hotel California' several times a night, 7 day a week, for years and still managed to murder it!

I'm staying a few doors away from that bar right now and can proudly report that nothing has changed. Heard them playing "Hotel California" last night and I don't think a single word in the lyrics was correct... including the two in the title.

So a typical Pattaya rendition (or perhaps rending) of a not very good song adopted because it's "easy to play" 😜🤬😀

I have not been in country since COVID but on all my many previous trips I always stopped into that bar that is on the right just as you walk on to walking street.  That bar always had an Issan band playing there.  I like that music.

I think they have knocked down that bar/building, but yes it was good.

Metro Bar on LK Metro has a more intimate live band a few nights per week, One band was Thai who plays typical request hits like John Denver, and one is a Celtic falang who does a gig once per week.
