While such actions are indefensible, there could be a Medical reason why this occurred including a very weak bl;adder withy the inability to retain.

Too often In  Large transportation hubs toilet facilities are a long way apart or very hard to find.

Yeah well, some of us have enlarged Prostate and have to piss all the time.

I have never been tempted to wip it out exposed inside a public airport.  There are plenty of toilets at the airport, this lazy ass person just didn't look for one.

TAT wanted Quality tourists

With wines and champagne as expensive as it is in Thailand with 300% duty, Thailand attracts ONLY beer drinkers.

And you are comparing this to urinating in the airport?

Huh,

It is worse. Can cost lives!

Saw an Indian do this at Rome train station, outside the toilet upstairs. Dirty bugger did not want to pay to get in, then went into the cake shop next door, ugh.

A new day, a new foreigner misbehaving. Every morning I get at least one or 2 news updates about foreigners misbehaving. Can't they just let normal people in?

   •    “If it were a Thai person, they’d have been arrested the moment they unzipped.”

Thai taxi drivers regularly unzip and pee at the side of the road without any consequences.

    •    “They must think they can do anything in Thailand. Our laws only apply to locals.”

But they don't apply to locals.

Where I live it is the Thais who drive their motorbikes in the wrong direction, on the pavement, without a helmet, while texting on their phones.

I see Thais openly breaking the law on a daily basis but I don't see any Thai netizens complaining about that.

Or the police doing anything about it - mind where I live, the tourists are as bad!

What happened to the proposed reduction on Import Duties and taxes on alcohol? image.jpeg.256202fb9d755f2204b66418bb5bd2b4.jpeg

Was there something wrong with the toilets at the Phuket Airport?  Were they all broken?  I mean I get it, "if ya gotta go, ya gotta go" just not so quite literally as this low-class tourist demonstrated.  Fine him, blacklist him, and deport him.

a) from the picture neither race nor nationality is clear
b) quite obviously a zero-educated culprit
c) such posts only fan the racism as most Thais equalize "foreign" with "Farang"
d) given the 40 million tourists (a doubtful statement by TAT) a year, such incidents are the exception and not the rule

Get the fellow - who most likely has left the country already - to clean up the mess himself by mopping the floor, risking missing his flight and trust me, no more trolls and racist statements while the idi*ot will never ever find it a good idea to unzip and relieve himself only a few (hundred?) metres from an urinal inside the airport building

The constant references to "Visa free policy"  as being the reason for some incidents is both illogical and foolish. There is no visa free panic policy. Visitors are still subject to  visa requirements. You are  shifting personal responsibility from the  wrongdoers to a convenient third party, "government".  The  liberalization of the length of stay aspect of the visa  has made it much easier for the western winter refugees, and has had no impact on the long term visa holders. The Russians have qualified for Visa on Arrival  since 2002.  Prior to 2022, we never heard of any problems with the Russians. They were the model visitors, well behaved and low profile.

There have always been disorderly incidents.  When I was in Patong, it was the shoplifting and opportunistic theft. And before that were the drunken yobs of the UK and Australia. And before that were the thieving Europeans at the  BKK duty free shops.  And let's not forget the jumpers of Pattaya and at the BKK airport.

The person in this picture is most likely traveling on a UK, or EU passport and a reversion to the 30 day visa would not have changed anything.

What we are seeing now is result of the affordability of air travel and accommodations. It is also a direct result of the  erosion of social constraints around the world. The world post Covid is a very impolite and nasty place. The Russians flock to Thailand because, aside from  Egypt, Cuba and Turkey,  they are unwelcome elsewhere.

If you want to clear the troublemakers out, increase the cost of visiting Thailand by 20%. It will also clear out many of the people complaining about their fellow foreigners.  In any case the situation may  correct itself  shortly if the war in Ukraine ends, and if the world plunges into a worldwide recession courtesy of the looming tariff issues.

"According to the WHO global status report on road safety 2019, Thailand has one of the 10 highest road traffic fatality rates in the world. It also has the highest rate of motorcycle-related deaths in the world, with almost

22 000 such deaths reported each year (equivalent to 60 deaths a day)." I assume most of them weren't wearing a helmet.

TAT need to start implementing a $20.00 arrival tax & $20.00 departure tax, that will deter these low life cheap Charlie Scumbags
