How much are you being deprived of?

Why is that relative to you or this thread?

It is not "relative" (whatever that means) to anything, I'm just curious about how much is at stake as you chose to go public with the subject which makes it relevant.  Not my fault if it embarrasses you.

This is life of Thailand expat in a nutshell.

We will always just be second class citizens regardless of our documents or how well we speak / read Thai.

Indeed, discrimination is rife here, and seems to get worse by the day.

When are our governments waking up, and apply equal rights to Thais who live in our countries

Curious and unhelpful. As is usual?

Since Shopee Pay is a company providing financial services, I'm sure they have to comply with rules set by the BoT, and that banning an account with funds inside, without prior notice, is against some of those rules.

Actually, they did notify about a month ago that they were going to close all accounts held by foreigners. They also provided instructions on how to get any remaining money transferred out.

Did they notify by email? If so they must have missed me, and Shopee support also didn't seem to know about, as I wasted several hours with them, trying all their suggestions to get the account unbanned

10 Min. ago I order something from Shopee without problem:coffee1:

You're lucky, I have been a Shopee member for years and have never been able to even buy anything from them, they are best just forgotten.

Lazada are also a bad lot with their cheating sellers, but at least you can buy from them and always get their deliveries. I only use them as a last resort.

Just use COD ....  no issues at all.

The problem with COD is that eventual refunds go to your wallet, which is your banned Shopee Pay account, and means you will have to jump through hoops withdrawing it

OP

While I understand that this doesn't directly answer your question or reply to your dilemma here is what I was able to do in a few seconds.

I took a screenshot of the text from your post then went to Google Translate and pulled it up from the camera icon and translated it and then took a screenshot of the translated version.  It may not be perfect but it helps a bit.

Maybe this will be able to help you in the future.

As per post#3 in this thread, I was able to get it translated and filled in, but the webform doesn't work.

Each time you submit, you get the message to fill in again, so it doesn't get sent to the company.

Reason for this is that blocked account can't be reactivated, since they are blocked on purpose for every foreigner

I'm not sure if I remember correctly, but I believe it was a notification in the app.

Some people may have a significant sum in there

I actually never use it, but was forced to have an account, because COD payments on Shopee get refunded through Shopee Pay.

Therefore, they were very well aware that it wasn't possible anymore, and should have informed me, and offered a different option for the refund.

Well if the refund due was not to much it might be better to just forget the refund....

Trying to get a refund on a COD sounds awful...

Never a problem with a refund on a COD, and it is in my wallet, since it shows in my Shopee profile. The issue is to get it moved to my bank account

And it get better.

Yesterday the refund was in my Shopee wallet.

Today my wallet is empty, and suddenly I'm able to log in to Shopee Pay again, but the balance is 0, and no transfer history.

Looks like they are now actively stealing money

I've looked through my notifications, and don't see any message warning me of the change. It is of course possible that it came by some other means - Shopee sends so many emails, notifications, and Line messages every day that I tend to ignore them.

I have almost 3k baht in my Shopee Pay wallet, and was able to use it normally until suddenly I wasn't 😞

The absurdity of the situation is that the only reason I have Shopee Pay in the first place is that they required me to open it several years ago in order to receive a refund...

I bought four items from Shopee in this last week, two paid by Card, two CoD.

So you say you have not been able to buy from Shopee, but use Lazada as a 'last' resort' ?

Shopee keeps telling me that they have no access to Shopee Pay, although they are one and the same company, and Shopee emptied my Shopee wallet yesterday.

Today I will be talking to OCPB, and maybe have a word with my police captain neighbour about this as well.

I have tried a few times to get through to them without success, even though they admit I have an account with them.

I'm pretty sure that the notification would have been from the ShopeePay app and not Shopee.

And that is the problem.

People don't log in to the app if there is no refund to withdraw. I never use it to pay for an order. Shopee Pay has customers email address, so they could have send by email.

BTW, on my way to OCPB I received an email from Shopee Pay that they will transfer the refund on February 6, so that will give them a few days reprieve. Damn I start to sound like Trump now.

A few minutes ago I received an email from Shopee that they had refunded to my account, but nothing has arrived yet. They earlier had emailed me asking the order number it concerned, as if they didn't know that after 6 days of emails and phone calls.

Shopee has just taken it to a new extreme, something making me think it are either idiots, or it is a criminal organization.

They keep insisting that they deposited the refund in my bank account (5 emails and 1 phone call on that alone so far) and now demand that I send them a copy of my bank account balance.

I will post the emails below, to prove that I'm not making this up.

There are 2 more emails, saying exactly the same, so no point in posting them.

But then I called Kasikorn, and asked them if they could make a statement that I didn't receive anything, which of course they could not. The only thing they could is make a statement of all transaction this month, which obviously is none of their business.

So I sent Shopee this email, on which I didn't hear back for some strange reason..

Shopee just had the guts to send me a questionnaire rating the support they had provided in the refund. I have given them my opinion, knowing very well that it will not be read anyway. (I wrote them in Thai, but this is the English translation)

You should be ashamed to send me this questionnaire. All your support is in Thai language only, yet your business caters, and takes money, from foreigners.
Your staff has been LYING for 1 week now, claiming the refund was deposited in my account on January 30, but fail to prove any transfer has happened.
At the same time they dare to intrude on my privacy by repeatedly demanding I send them a statement of my bank account which shows all transactions and balances.
When I contacted Kasikorn bank, they told me ask them, for the transaction ID, which they will have IF they actually did a transfer. 48 hours and 2 emails later they still fail to provide me with that transaction ID. SHAME YOURSELF.

No you can not use the wallet for another payment, a crazy system, I've been away from Shopee for a while now, but if Lazada starts acting more and more difficult, that's where I'll end up.

They don't do anything with that, it is just for show and to give the impression that they have the customer's best interests at heart, But it is pure annoyance.

Yes, you can, I use my Lazada wallet for that, it is one of the payment options.
