And in tomorrows news

"British man wakes up in Sukhumvit hotel claiming amnesia"

The day after:

"British lady divorces man with amnesia"

Or maybe, body found floating in the river, cops say a suicide as they drag him out?

Does that indicate he is usually in Thailand on his boy's birthday?

Maybe they're amicably separated?

I am sure when he gets home he will be very humble or everything will crumble for him

OK I'll feel like a knob tomorrow if they find him like that, but I'd bet my last box of Viagra on it they won't

“He always calls, especially for our boy’s birthday but this time, nothing.”

Leads me to believe they don't live together, nor expect to see him regularly.

Sounds more like his "baby mamma"

Perhaps he is hiding out not wanting to return home to face his real life

Preferably one that doesn't go on holiday alone.

Absolutely especially on his sons birthday, what possible reason could someone want to go to Bangkok alone when they are married with a kid on their sons birthday, firstly I'm surprised his wife even let him, and even more that he wanted to go.

Abandoned Mansion Bar & Restaurant on is basically opposite Soi Cowboy that is where I would start, plenty of plod down there at night and enough CCTV I'd be surprised if they didn't get a hit.

I call BS on the whole thing.  Lots of symbolism here, not to mention no CCTV footage on a major street, and motive is clearly irrational.

The guy is 33 (highly symbolic number) and his name is Sangwine (aka Sanguine)  which means, among other things, bloody/bloodthirsty...blood red....florid/ruddy...optimistic/positive.

What a crock, but if you are going to go the sang wine could also mean to "order wine" in thai

sang ahan -- order food
sang leew -- already ordered

"Sangwine was last seen heading to the Abandoned Mansion Bar & Restaurant in Bangkok. A local couple who met him there texted Maybin, saying he had been out with friends that night. His phone has been off for over 10 days, and he has not reached out to any relatives."

Unbeleivable!!  Wow, how this self-centered wife has the gall to complain about the Thai Royal Police for not dropping everything and providing her with updates on their search of Bangkok to find him. Lady, as you were texted by the couple, your husband does not want to talk to you. There was a reason why he had turned off his phone for 10 days and don't tell me you have no idea why. More than likely, a domestic problem involving two self-centered individuals who have no regard for other people.

But we are not talking about the Thai language buddy... this was reported in the Daily Mail, an English language tabloid.

Thai language references are moot buddy.

Everybody is just assuming he got involved with some girl, but that would not explain him totally disappearing and completely losing contact with his family. It is more likely something far more sinister and far more serious took place. People disappearing is never a good thing, but when they aren't heard from for quite some time afterwards, that's a sign that something serious is going on or something serious has already taken place. Neither of which is a what any family wants to hear about their loved ones.

it's actually far more common than you think for someone to go missing, in the uk around 170,000 people are reported missing every year, that about one every 90 seconds - and those are only the reported ones. some people just want to disappear.
