Canada should be another US state.

That nut-job Trudeau has destroyed the country.

Incorporate it into the USA and watch it prosper.

It should not be a state, it should be a union....like EU.

Do you really want Quebec be a part of USA? Think before you post Bob.

Maybe you dont live there, and dont know how many criminals that the Biden administration allowed into the country

I get it , this is political soapbox, so the entire history of Americas misdeeds is all because of the last presidential term you don't agree with.

If the USA wanted to invade would it be a five days operation like Putin presumed in Ukraine or could or would Canada actually defend itself.

I find it hard to believe that the the U.S. military generals, all the way down to the troops on the ground, would have the will to invade Canada. Its one thing to send an army to a middle eastern country, but Canada ?

Yes, Canadians can have the benefit of Obamacare, high pharmaceutical costs, America's IRS. Plus a new generation of carpetbaggers heading north.

Do you have any idea how stupid your post is?

How many times do I have to tell you people. These tarrifs are simply a way to show income so the billionaire tax cuts can be made permanent. Don't make me repeat it again.

Canada should strike a deal with the EU on joint development of Greenland. It would be the ideal partner for Greenland.

Because the enuits have done really well in Canada? Maybe offer them a bit more prosperous future in Greenland?

Just joking, but seriously, Greenland have to come back to Norway, we will take good care of them.

You're totally wrong.

He does seriously want to gobble up Canada.

He's a PSYCHOPATH! He has delusions of being seen as the greatest president for so increasing the USA's territory.

The feeling from Canada is not mutual.

He is now seen internationally in the same light as Putin.

Sucks to be a loser doesnt it? Your screeching about Trump and Putin sounds increasingly more hysterical and deranged

Gosh.  Just a few months ago, Obamacare was the best thing to ever happen to Americans, according to the lefties.  Because it wasn't Trump's idea...

Why not just take it at face value?  Why should the USA be supporting Canada? And why should the USA not be concerned with the continued flow of illegals and drugs across the border?  The USA needs nothing from Canada.  And Canada is already in trouble, economically.  So they either change a few policies or perish.  Why wouldn't that be Trump's thinking?

Is the US supporting Canada? Is there a continuous flow of illegals and drugs from Canada to the US?

Does the US need nothing from Canada?

IIRC Trump had no ideas, 4 years produced zilch by way of a new health system.

Given the choice between a turd of a program that drove up costs and reduced quality for all the people who actually work (and pay our own way) and zilch, sometimes "do nothing" is the better choice.  That was certainly the case with Obamacare.

I understand all of the above, but don't understand this

If America declared a trade war with everyone, how does that benefit them? They should have punished either Canada or mexico, not both at the same time

they can't build factories overnight.

can't wait for Yanks to complain about the price of eggs and healthcare

Not just that, if Canada and Mexico got some backbone they would cut off the oil they ship to the US. The US can't refine its own shale oil and gets a large part of its import (70+%) from those two countries. Also, Canada supplies a large part of northern US electric power. And with 25% tariffs, Mexico might find it worth expanding its world market for its produce.

I forgot, The US gets almost 100% of its natural gas import from Canada

Seriously where do you guys get those nuggets of wisdom?  CNN or MSDNC?

The US is a net exporter of oil and of natural gas.  We produce more than we consume.  Take Canadian and Mexican oil and gas off the table, and the big suffering would accrue to the Mexicans and the Canadians who would have to build $$ billions in infrastructure (and in Canada's case, decades of permitting) to send their petroleum products to other markets.
