I'm old but had to fill in a form the other day. The usually stuff, Name, Address etc. Then Male, Female, etc, then a box 'Identify as Something Else' and 'What do you identify as'.

Us taxpayers payed a group of people to have meetings and come up with this line of text on a form.

If the movement would have stopped at Male, Female, Gay, Lesbian, I supported that but to keep going, now identifying as something else went tooooo far and of course there was going to be a backlash.

Don't particularly like Donald Trump but he's got some good ideas.

In a way I agree. It's not about getting rid of LGBT people (although there are a number of pond dwellers on here who would like to), it's about slowly removing their hard fought rights. Vile Christian nationalism is on the rise and they want revenge.

This isn't a straight or gay thing and the average gay will not need educating on transgender issues. Transgender can be straight or gay. In my experience the huge majority of gay men are more than happy to remain as men.

Allowing men in women's toilets is not the issue here, at least from my "woke" point of view. The issue here is that some, like you, probably, are so closed-minded that you believe there are only two distinct genders and that everyone has to be classified as one or the other. This classification is made primarily on the type of genitals the person is born with, which, as we all (I assume) know are sometimes abnormal. Another determining factor are hormones, which, as with genitals, can be abnormal, which may not become evident until puberty. Also, the abnormality in these two factors, genitals and hormones, can occur together or separately.

Long story short, although the vast majority of us do have the physical and hormonal characteristics that we associate with either a male or female, some of us don't. That percentage is hard to pin down, but it appears to be about 1%.

So, for me, a "woke" individual, the problem isn't how to keep men out of women's toilets or sports leagues; it's creating a rule or method to determine which one of the two accepted genders a person is that can be applied to everyone, not just the 99%.

Its not a hatred of trans, the issues is the activist side that screams, attacks, calls anyone that doesn't agree with them transphobic or bigoted, wants special rules for them that everyone has to abide then plays the victim whenever possible.
