Regarding the littering issue, Pattaya imposes fines up to 2,000 baht for improper waste disposal.

However, try to find a freaking trash bin.

Not when I first came here 40 years ago.

I doubt it there are any questions left or not answered.

I'm happy not living in this trash-,  garbage- 💩- hole. If you have children you can't let them play there at the beach (all sorts of poo) or slashing water. (All sorts of urine and poo).

What so family specific in Pattaya?

Hypothetical question.

Pattaya will be such a sht show... with too many tourists... not enough infrastructure and more filth and crime.

I'm in Pattaya now. Huge difference in just 5 years. Things are looking very filthy and rundown.

I have been coming since 1981, honestly I don't see any difference, things looked filthy and rundown even back then.

This is a beat up. The photos and videos are from after the fireworks festival, where 50k people go to watch, and yes some get drunk etc. and are still on the beach later in the night. There are people from all over, not just Indians.

It just depends what ethnic group you choose to video.

I guess the toilet faculties are handy for them.

Who needs a hotel, the sand is still warm at night.

I live in East Pattaya & don't visit the beach these days.

I didn't see these events back in 2006.

Perhaps it now has something to do with phones, cameras & postings to be popular.🙃🙃

in 2006 would have needed an Augmented Reality camera to be able to get groups of indians drinking or sleeping on beach!

Damn foreigners tarnishing pattayas reputation, thai people always put their trash in the garbage

Right. Leaving piles of litter is reserved exclusively for the Thais.

visa free entry allows low standard of tourists to popular tourist areas.

Politicians quest to increase numbers at all costs is a flawed at best.

No suitcases or other luggage, so they have hotels and just want to hang out with friends. Does Thailand want foreign visitors or not?

Very much so.

Please be careful where you place your deckchair or beach blanket, also check before digging sand castles with your kids - buried turds?

Absolute nonsense. Of course  the city can impose opening and closing hours for the beach if it wants to.  And, it should.  No reason for people to be on the beach after, say, midnight.  Reopen at 5am.  Many American  beaches aren't open 24 hours, with some closing at 10pm.

That is really nonsense 😊 No reason to be on the beach after midnight?  You do understand that not everyone chooses to broil themselves under the sun. That a beach can be a peaceful place to relax. So the people who work until midnight and want to go to the beach to relax should be barred until 5am? Why 5am? Why not wait until the tourists wake up and have their breakfast at 9am?

There's always someone wanting to impose their rules on nature.

No sign of any article there.

But let's be honest. Anything part of the beach south of Pattaya Klang is a no-go area. It's a zoo. You'll have Indian types urinating in the sea, the beach literally peppered with freelancers on and off the beach, vagrants sleeping everywhere....

I feel icky just passing through the area. So Indians sleeping on the beach don't even make a dent on the reputation of that end of the beach. It's just not pretty.

Just imagine the smells coming from those mats.

Curry breath, their notorious b o and the vindaloo farts.

No wonder my missus wouldn't touch them with a barge pole when she was selling her hole on soi 7.

They were told they had to use soap and shower everyday if they stayed in hotels hence why the beach was chosen 🤷🏼

And yes, there is the 1st openly racist comment.  Low iq?
