Nowhere did I read that the police had raided the compound.

Yeah, okay, they investigated from outside.

Usually the press report has the police "rushing to the scene"

  • The obvious solution is for the animal to be correctly taken care of at a suitable wildlife establishment as a lion is not a house pet & should not be treated as such.

  • People complain because of the roaring. Why aren't the police called for all the soi dogs barking? They do it nightly and are much louder than one lion. Surely, the neighbors are aware of the lions pre

And wisely so I would hazard! 😄

My guess is that as it gets older it needs a mate. The roaring is a cry to lionesses in the area to come on over.

Fortunately Pattaya has lots of mates.

Also, the idiots on the noisy motorbikes deserve an honorable mention.

Right, motorbikes next.

They keep us awake next to Thappraya Road all night long.

Their noise is quite extraordinary.

I used to live not far from a railway line, and got used to that noise, but motorbikes, especially those on Thappraya Road, Second Road, I cannot get used to that~!

The incident took place in Soi Phratamnak, Pattaya, ...................unmistakable sound of a lion.

Is this the "mane" road?

Did they mix up nationalities? Sound very much Indian to me.

The cops need to give Tarzan a call and get him over here,  he knows how to deal with lions :burp:

It's a bit difficult to pin a restraining order on a soi dog though isn't it.

Not sure it would be so easy with a fully grown lion either!

I can't tell from a bark whether they are soi dogs or pampered pooches.  On my prestigious moobaan, my sleep is interrupted by dogs with deaf owners who can't train their animals or couldn't give a toss about others.

Can only hope that the lion eats the owner. Solution to fix the issue permanently without public danger.

Good idea , if it works maybe should send some lions to the front line in Donetsk.

What is "mane" road?

I live down the Soi but never heard it called mane road.

Luckily live far enough not to hear the roar of the cat though, but recall seeing the guy and the cat on a ride with the Bentley when it also was on news.

I will presume you do not see the joke....

'Mane' is a word for the longer hair around a male lion's head. (And some other animals).
