Gillette alternatives

My favorite was "Williams Mug Shaving Soap". It came in regular and menthol and regular, but they discontinued the menthol over 20 years ago. It was hard and lasted forever, but it really worked up nice. It was also the cheapest at under a dollar a cake ten years ago.

I just checked on Amazon and it's $48.98 a cake....

What??  Near 50 dollars?

That is absolute lunacy. It's soap ffs!!

  • Unfortunately, the Gillette Fusion razor is the greatest technological achievement in the history of shaving and there is no substitute.     There will be people who tell you there is a bett

  • Gillette will keep making "New And Improved" razors with expensive price tags to cater to those with tons of disposable income the toss in the trash. They'll never improve on this.

I cant use multiblades because of the manliness of my beard. Too clogging.

I remember long ago, when the first multiblade razors came out, there was a brand of razors which had a little white push-buttin at the top. Simply push the button and the space between the blades opened to clean them.
They disappear and never saw them back.

Woke blades

DIY blades seemed to pull. Don't know if there are thicker blades, not as sharp ... I was "woke" to the difference.

Quick wet shave for me is a Mach 3, & Shaving Gel.

if I have the time (and a bit of a treat) then I use an old Safety 2 edged Razor, go whole Hog; Jot towel (microwave few seconds) leave 2 minutes, pre shave oil or Parrazzo (Green )  eait another 2 minutes then a dish Solid shave Soap with a real Badgers tail shaving brush, lather up & Shave direction of beard, rinse & repeat 2nd pass. Rinse off then again apply hot towel... Relax a few minutes, then apply good quality Post shave balm. Bliss

Electric ravage your face are kust not a decent close shave

But for myself Mach 3 daily is good for my mush & head (im a Baldy)

Go over to Truefitt and Hill

My favorite oil was "Shave-Secret".

Just tried an alternative to Gillette for the first time ever, BIC Flex5. Almost as good as the Fusion I normally use, not really cheaper I think, but most important... it's not a US product 🤗

I've tried different Mr DIY razors and the ones below are the best, sometimes they change models so i bought 6+ packs, these last for ages and i have thick hair, About 30 baht for 5, if they aren't expensive enough leave a big tip

30 baht... I paid 275 baht for 3 BIC razors here in Denmark 😁

I will give DIY a try for sure

...You realize MAGA hates Gillette right?  You're boycotting exactly what they boycott lol.  Guess you missed the news a few years back where they lost $5 billion in a quarter due to their #metoo commercials.   MAGA appreciates your crusade  🙂

The target is the American economy.

Buy a Mr DIY shaver for 39 Baht will bring down the USA economy ?

A brilliant example of MAGA logic 🤣

Thought I'd give an update after having used BIC Flex 5 for a while now. It's actually much better quality than Gillette Fusion 5. Better durability as well. Will definitely try the other options from BIC once I'm in Thailand.
