Rubio: EU Must Be Involved in Ukraine Talks

Speaking in Riyadh, Senator Marco Rubio emphasized that the European Union would inevitably need to be involved in discussions regarding the ongoing war in Ukraine. “They’re going to have to be at the table at some point because they have sanctions as well that have been imposed,” he stated.

Addressing concerns over Ukraine’s absence from the meeting, Rubio insisted that no one was being excluded. “No one is being side-lined,” he said. “Everyone involved in that conflict has to be OK with it, it has to be acceptable to them.”

Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky appeared visibly exhausted and frustrated when reacting to the meeting during a news conference in Turkey. “We want everything to be fair and so that nobody decides anything behind our back,” he said. “You cannot make decisions without Ukraine on how to end the war in Ukraine.”

Despite his concerns, Zelensky is likely aware that there is little he can do to influence any agreements reached without his direct involvement. The sight of both American and Russian officials engaging in discussions in Riyadh will be deeply unsettling for him.

More critically, he understands that Ukraine’s ability to resist—let alone defeat—Russian forces remains heavily dependent on continued American support.

He knows he has lost the war  something many others have been saying for ...well since the start...Ukraine was never going to win against Russia unless  NATO and the US threw absolutely everything they had at the Russians,

that didn't happen and was never going to happen...so we are now at Ukraine's surrender negotiations...that Borris Johnson has a lot to answer for  scuppering the peace talks at the outset...War monger two tier is just as bad but also just as impotent to  prolong the war at this point.

I hope for a speedy cessation of the conflict...now that there are actually talks in progress.

Another trump farce !!

So many cheerleaders for death and destruction. Failures by Boris and Biden to negotiate before the maiming and killing started was the real failure, as was fake news for their silly "absolutely no reason" for the invasion, Russia will lose in 48 hours and Putin is a madman narratives- how did they age?😅 Sadly many here swallowed the lies, even though thry know deep down there were legit reasons why Russia wasnt OK with the US running Ukraine like they owned it(Biden firing head prosecutor for ex).

Hint. Sell defence stocks. Mr peace and prosperity is back in town

Sergey Lavrov was in a happy mood beaming broad smile. Russia got what they want from Trump and Trump was spewing Russian propanganda narrative about Ukraine subsequently. Russia may soon restored their diplomatic missions in Washington. Hard for Rubio to deal with Trump's idiosycrasy.

Many of us Americans are calling it the great betrayal it comes following the big lie.im dumbfounded that an American president would betray our European allies and side with the enemy.Europe knows what’s coming putin is going to re arm train fresh meat then go on the offensive again…..we have seen it before.its a sad day to be sure.
