I'm not going to go into detail but things are sounding great over there.

I also wont mention which countries they have moved to, but a bit of online due diligence will give you a good idea...

Thailand, either up your game, lower your prices or people will start to leave in droves.

Trust me when I tell you that Africa is definitely the future!

When are you going there? Please, please do hurry and shut the do0r behind you. Thank you.

The trouble with Africa, especially sub-Saharan Africa is that most of these countries are teetering on the brink of being either hopelessly corrupt or just failed states (think Zimbabwe etc., was the bread basket of Africa and prosperous until Mugabe took over)... even South Africa is getting there after years of mismanagement, especially under Zuma, and you have political parties becoming popular led by dangerous racists like Julius Melena etc. Don't get me wrong, much of Africa is stunning, probably is party/nightlife central, and reasonaly priced... but politically stable and safe? No way for anyone really and crime is out of control in many places... just the MSM refuse to report on it as it doesn't fit their agenda.

Here is my question to your Sir:

Would it even be possible for a black American to become a Great White Hunter in Africa?

It's certainly not S Africa Cape Town he's talking about.

My brother (Brit) relocated there many years ago and what a great place to retire.

That leaves 53 other countries he's talking about....take your pick.

My guess is South Sudan.

Mauritius may be the safest country in Africa, I think.

And they even have a retirement visa. 18,000 USD in a bank account gets you a 10 year retirement visa, I believe.

Not sure how expensive it is to live there and don't know much about the place other than it may be the safest country in Africa.

Botswana might be the 2nd safest country in Africa. And they have the Big 5 wildlife.

Give us a bell when you get kidnapped by an African Prince over there chav. We'll send the ransom money by to help spring you ASAP.

You should start out your adventures in South Sudan and, if that doesn't do the trick for you, then there is always Somalia, or Central African Republic if all else fails.

I think they serve fairly good Chinese food there.

Also, it appears to be quite a beautiful island.

I would definitely go there if the dental and medical were good.

I've done some research about Mauritius. My impression is that it's moderately expensive, probably higher than Thailand but lower than Costa Rica or Portugal. It's very isolated though. I think it would be a draw to people into ocean stuff. An interesting choice for sure.

It's mainly a Hindu country. Might as well go to India instead.

Portugal is more expensive than Thailand, if you want to be served.

If you get your stuff from the shops and markets, Portugal is a lot cheaper

I was thinking of Lisbon or Porto. The housing costs are very high.

The "research" I did on Mauritius was awhile back so I don't recall too many details.

I focused largely on retirement visas (definitely viable for most of us), safety, housing options, area options, transportation, expat life, cultural factors, food, and available activities. As with everywhere lots of "information" online, on youtube, etc. Probably a big draw for South Africans. My conclusion at the time was that it wouldn't be on a Plan B from Thailand for me personally, but might be a Plan A or B for many other people.

As far as the rest of Africa, I've "looked" at South Africa, Morocco, Tunisia, Rwanda, Kenya, and purely as a curiosity Egypt. Out of all of Africa, Morocco might make a C list for me personally, so in other words, for me, forget about it. I recall I wasn't eligible for South Africa but even if I was even though I'm sure Capetown is fantastic, the crime situation is just too much.

I do think there are some really good opportunities for black Americans getting residency. Especially younger entrepreneurial ones. Some countries in Africa are welcoming them with open arms, and who doesn't like to be welcomed?

Meanwhile, possibly the hub of future resurgence of HIV infections. South Africa's population is already 20% HIV positive. Now that Trump cut all HIV aid to Africa, god help them.

Is it racist for Italy to offer citizenship by descent?

If you have ancestors who came from ITALY, regardless of melanin content, no, that would not be rayciss.

Were there BLack italians?  Sure, just ask Netflix 'bout Cleopatra.  As for Wakandans, they can claim kinship to Septimius Severus.

If you have no ancestors from the country in question, but are granted DEI points for skin color, well, dass rayciss, dawg.

Thanks for sharing.

I think sovereign nations can have whatever immigration policies they like.
