Caught in a trap - Judge Ali

Featured Replies

  • Popular Post

Judge Amir Ali has ordered the White House to settle all USAID bills immediately.

This will arrive at the Supreme Court. At least two SCOTUS justices are of the opinion that district judges ( inferior Courts ) do not have the constitutional right to interfere in executive branch policies by issuing national injunctions.

This is a trap well set by the Trump admin. They knew activist judges would do this. They wanted this fight immediately and now they have it.

And before Dems go nuts, remember that Republicans play this game too.

No one argues that the Federal courts have oversight. The argument is whether inferior circuit judges should interfere with the executive branch.

The Constitution indicates that is the reserve of SCOTUS

Chief Justice Robert's stepped in last night and stayed Ali's court order. SCOTUS is not accepting the premise that a district court judge has jurisdiction over which bills the Executive Branch pays.

As indicated by the DOJ - he is commanding we pay invoices before we check if they are fraudulent.

Rank stupidity by Ali

It's hard to tell which of these minor judges just hate Trump, which of them have wives (or kids) that work for the NGOs, and which are just stoopid.

DOGE will let us know, but it may take some time to train the AI.  Then it'll take Bondi some time to follow up.

In the meantime, Roberts just saved taxpayers from wasting a ton of money.

Good!

So the US government no longer pays its bills from foreign contractors.

IIRC that is what Trump does with contractors working on his properties.

It's more along the lines of putting a temporary hold on paying them while they audit the veracity of the charges.

Which is what any properly run business would do if they discovered some of their employees were paying bogus invoices.  It's nice to have some adult oversight for a change.
