Canada's ruling Liberals mount a comeback with Trump threats, polls show

OTTAWA, Feb 26 (Reuters) - Canada's ruling Liberals, who a few weeks ago looked certain to lose an election this year, are mounting a major comeback amid the threat of U.S. tariffs and are tied with their rival Conservatives, according to three new polls.

An Ipsos survey released late on Tuesday showed the left-leaning Liberals have 38% public support and the official opposition right-of-center Conservatives have 36%. The Liberals have overturned a 26-point deficit in six weeks, and run advertisements comparing the Conservative leader to Trum

Do you understand what cherry picking means? The article cited the three latest polls. You got that? Not one but three. Now a person with a high IQ would try to offer evidence that there were other polls taken about the same time that had sharply different results. Or, perhaps, they would some evidence that these three polls, or some subset of them, have a history of bias. In other words, a person with an IQ ranging from 127 to 143 would offer something called evidence. They woould definitely not believe that offering a negative characterization unbacked by evidence would have any dispositive value.

Person with high IQ (me) says all polls only show what the polling organisation was paid for them to show, and are therefore worthless.

I backed up my claim. You are afraid to do a test. You must spend each day looking for leftist polls that say what you want. Sad.

For those of you who may not be aware of what test Harrisfan is referring to, it's an online IQ test which Harrisfan claims gave him an IQ ranging between 127 to 143. It seems bizarre that someone claiming to have a high IQ would believe that such a claim coming from an anonymous person should have valid evidentiary value. The proof is in the pudding, and to mix metaphors, given the quality of his posts, Harrisfan's claim is very weak tea.

I can imagine Harris as a schoolboy who gets an "F" on a test and then tells his teacher "I don't care if my examples weren't relevant and I didn't offer evidence to back up my claims. The fact is I have an IQ between 127 and 143, and that is enough to qualify me for an "A".

Harrisfan once again offers evidence of his mental incapacity by claiming that the polls are leftist without offering any evidence. Apparently, if the results of a poll or polls aren't to his liking, that makes them leftist. This kind of thinking, if you want to dignify such mental processes with that word, clearly undercuts any claim to superior mental acuity.

Intelligent people know which polls are leftist. They say who paid for it on websites. Hard to believe you know next to nothing after years of looking at them :cheesy:

You are not dealing with someone with a high IQ, just someone with a high post count and a high desire to to get “likes”

I've noticed that you support Trump yet are a Harrisfan. Does this mean Kamala Harris, Harris County, Texas, Xander Harris, Emmylou Harris or do you just like the name Harry, which Harris is a derivative of?

127 to 143. Yours would be 95 or so.

Hope they were different polls to the ones that kept telling you Harris was going to win

He's not smart enough to figure that out. Took me an hour. He's had 9 years of studying Trump polls and still no idea.

Great title, since Trump is the true Liberal and the Socialists are on the run.

The shrieking of the Socialists from the cesspool of history that occurs every time the American people flush is music to my ears.

I see the resemblance in some of those names for sure as far as posting habits, and especially as they were all Trump supporters.

Why would you insult 14 year old girls like that? Sad.

But it needs to be a cheap bargain meal too, otherwise Susan won't eat it.
