It is 15 days, but better take that as 14 days because of the way some immigration offices are counting it.

These are the windows of opportunity to file 90 day reports

IN PERSON <- From 2 weeks before the due date until 1 week after the due date (giving a 3 week window to apply in person)

ONLINE <- From 2 weeks before the due date until 1 week before the due date (giving a 1 week window to apply online)

MAIL IN <-(if your office allows it) packet must be postmarked 2 weeks before the due date

Remember the FIRST 90 day report after returning from abroad has to be done in person too

Online info sounds wrong.

I have understood that you can't file online after the due date.

But I've always done mine within the week before the due date.

In one case, two days before.

With no problem.

people are now getting rejection emails stating the window I posted

I have an image grab of the rejection reason in an emai; someone posted online I'll see if I can find it

some people are squeaking thru but I'm just posting what I know to be a safe "window to apply"

So this is a new policy change?

Thanks.

Very interesting.

Do they mean business days or actual days?

I use the Jomtien office and don't know if there's a sign there like that, but I do have a clue that this might be widespread.

I get auto generated email reminders and the latest one arrive much earlier than usual.

No mention of the new rule in the email though.

My understanding is  what Tod posted are currently the rules.

And that was the situation for some time.

If I recall correctly the online window then was changed from 2 weeks prior up to due date.

Then changed back to the sign posted above.

It's not business days it's calendar days.

Yeah in Bangkok, but my question is if this is national.

As I posted based on the timing of my last reminder email for Jomtien, it suggests it is.

Again, 15 business days or real days?

I've been doing online reporting, 15 times,  since the end of January 2022. Roughly 50% have been rejected for no apparent reason. Even though I never vary in the way I fill out the application. Before they accept my reporting its checked and and any application with any errors are rejected before submission. So why are some accepted without errors only to be rejected a week after submission? It's really infuriating knowing that I'm 100% sure my application is correctly filled out only to be rejected. My application form should be rejected, if it's wrong, before I'm allowed to submit it?

I have in the past asked an IO officer about this problem but he just shrugged his shoulders.

My experience (CW) mirrors yours.

In fact I changed to reporting via mail as it's pretty bullet proof.

That came after random rejections.

My last extension was Nov 5 and at same visit did 90 report in person.

75 days later did online report.

To my amazement it was approved and within 48hrs.

I will try the next one online

The term "Hit and Miss" comes to mind.

The plain fact is that when filling out an online TM47 the submission of the report is rejected if any part of the notification is not correct. Therefore allowing you to correct the error . There is no way a wrongly filled out TM47 can be submitted if there is an error. It's all a load of b*******

Come to think of it there was a time not too long ago that this rubbish, 90 day reporting, TM30 was unheard of. You could arrive in Thailand with a one-way ticket, open a bank account, do as many border bounces as you like. No questions asked.

@DrJack54 @Tod Daniels  thanks for the info.

"Remember the FIRST 90 day report after returning from abroad has to be done in person too."

Is it possible at CW to do a postal report on my return to Thailand?    Previously I've attended in person on each occasion.

I wonder what thought processes went into creating this sign? The text in red seems to say exactly the same as the blue text above it?

I did it on the due date. On my report it said I had to report on 25th February, which I duly did - rejected. They said it had to be 15 days before.

Despite the many statements that the 90 report must be done in person after trip abroad, my understanding is that report via mail will be acceptable.

Clear instructions of how to make report via mail is outlined in links posted earlier.

@DrJack54   Have you tried the postal reporting to CW on returning to Thailand from overseas?

Personally have not.

Read report (within last few months) of poster saying he did this (CW) and was approved.

Edit: found thread. Post by @Will B Good here

My understanding is via mail will be accepted.

I do my 90 day report via my retirement visa, pay B500 and do not need to leave my condo. If had to go to CW a B300-500 taxi ride, 3-4 hours and taxi return same cost. Receive new 90 day report after about a week via EMS, easy.

I tried online but a crap website. In fact I did no 90 day report for about 3 years before and decided better to follow the rules, although no noise about no report for so long.
