Zelensky never worked or practiced as a lawyer. Zelensky is NOT and NEVER WAS a lawyer. He was never admitted to practice even in Ukraine. All he did was get a law degree from Kryvyi Rih Institute of Economics. You are probably not familiar with the standard of education in Ukraine and Russia, it is quite high but sadly dogged by massive corruption with people routinely paying staff to pass tests and obtain degrees. Zelensky's "law degree", if he ever obtained one honestly, would in any event never be recognised in the UK, the US, Germany or most Western countries which uniformly do not recognise Russian or Ukrainian degrees because they are so often obtained with corruption.

 

Your general point is correct though Zelensky is more or less educated, even if that education was clearly sub-par as he is unable to speak English properly which I can assure you most Russian and Ukrainian lawyers have no problem with. 

 

Zelensky was not ambushed. A journalist asked about diplomacy with Russia. Trump answered and then JD Vance answered to support Trump's argument. It was then that Zelensky decided that he would take issue with JD Vance and argue with him. That is how this spat started. With Zelensky being argumentative. Nobody was ambushed. He was not bullied either, he was the one trying to muscle his ludicrous argument that nobody should talk to Russia, and Trump then stood up to HIM.  

 

Furthermore NOBODY wanted to stick a dagger into Ukraine, quite the opposite, Trump is trying to save UKraine from death and destruction, something Zelensky should be doing, by bringing about diplomacy to end this war. Zelensky is stabbing his people in the back by needlesly prolonging this suffering of war, a war which is already lost and can never be won, and on top urinating on the legs of his potent backer who enabled him to resist this long in the first place.
