Ukraine’s Fate Was Sealed Long Before Aid Was Cut

The whole of the West cannot really be expected to support an indefinite stalemate war, nor a long-winded years long war of attrition.  Otherwise, it's essentially the West vs. Russia, via the Ukraine.

We were told that Russia's army was useless with few men, antique equipment, and that it wouldn't last long.  Three years later, this does not seem to be the case.

It's probably a good time to end it now.  If Zelensky cannot accept anything other than victory over Russia, it's inevitable that support is going to wane.

Similarly, if Trump haters don't want the war to end, simply because it might make Trump look good, well, you need to take a long look at yourself.

I agree about not fighting a war forever with no end game. However I remember the narrative being when it started was, Russia would take Kiev in a week or less. The world was surprised he didn't storm in and conquer it quickly. Now they are saying the Russian army is pathetic, because it is.

The fact is that in three years Russia has had little to no progress. There is not a single military advisor anywhere that is impressed by the Russian army. It doesn't matter because of the nuclear card. The west can't really truly attack Russia.

Vietnam 🇻🇳 or the Vietnam War is a good example of exactly why Ukraine 🇺🇦 can win the war. In Vietnam a poorly equipped, but very determined army was up against a vastly superior invading force. Fighting for your homeland and very existence make a difference.

As for Germany 🇩🇪,  yeah, probably not a good idea for Ukraine to march on Moscow.

People like you need to get over to the war zone, get away from your keyboard safety.  I'b bet money that yellow streak would quickly appear

I don't think any of us would last long on the front line, especially not in a brutal war like the Ukrainian conflict.

That said, I have lived 2 years in Russia 🇷🇺 and yes I have had a couple of kalashnikovs pointed directly at me. What insights does Frankie have?

It was sealed April 2022.

Trump to revoke legal status for 240,000 Ukrainians as US steps up deportations!

https://www.reuters.com/world/us/trump-plans-revoke-legal-status-ukrainians-who-fled-us-sources-say-2025-03-06/

  • Summary
  • Trump administration move is part of broader rollback of Biden-era migration programs
  • Some of those migrants could be subject to fast-track deportation
  • Ukrainian and Afghan migrants face uncertainty under new policies
WASHINGTON, March 6 (Reuters) - U.S. President Donald Trump's administration is planning to revoke temporary legal status for some 240,000 Ukrainians who fled the conflict with Russia, a senior Trump official and three sources familiar with the matter said, potentially putting them on a fast-track to deportation.
The move, expected as soon as April, would be a stunning reversal of the welcome Ukrainians received under President Joe Biden's administration.

With maga, cruelty is the point.

At this point, I think the majority of Americans don't recognize our own country anymore.

Trying to annex Canada.

Being recognized by the Kremlin as being in complete synch with their agenda.

Yes I'm saying that a large portion of the Trump voters (I call them the egg prices brigade) had no idea what they were voting for now that see what the Musk - Trump 2.0 regime is actually getting them.

Because an agressive Russia can do many things that fall below the threshold of war.

Cutting cables, killing people with novichok and polonium, proxy wars in Syria and Africa. They could also make an incursion to connect Kaliningrad to mainland Russia.

There is a good documentary on Netflix called "Turning Point" about the Cold War and how it shaped the world and the Russia we are facing today. In there, that say, the only language Russia understands is violence or the threat of violence. Europe need to prepare for war to avoid war.

Agree to an extent. Russia and China/Putin and Xi are absolute cnts. The fact now, however, is this war needs to be brought to an end. If you're a betting man would you bet on Harris, if she was now president, or Trump ending it? Interesting you mention proxy wars because this war is certainly that and Trump wants to stop it. As for your Netflix reference I guess you're critical thinking skills might not be that sharp. Have a look at the BBC documentary about Gaza. The sheeple would have believed this and not seen it was pure Hamas propaganda. Paid for by the British taxpayer.

So many on this forum deluding themselves, and listening to the wrong analysts, maybe.

Instead, just LISTEN to Jeff Sachs, for once in your lives.

This is actually an important topic, and why would you wish to get it wrong by believing phony propaganda.

Just listen to JEFF!!!!!

No, the betrayal is all on Trump.

Refusing to call Putin the aggressor and saying The Ukraine started this war is a knife in the back of

Zelensky.

The US lost the respect of the rest of the free world.

Of all the weapons send to the Ukraine only 25% came from the US.

How could Zelensky ever go to the White house knowing he was betrayed before he got there.

Shame on the US and Trump.

Slava Ukraine!

You do not speak for the rest of the world.

Bidens masters in the MIC put Zman on a pedestal never expecting Trump  Hitler 2.0 to win, now he has ... you're all clucking like chickens not knowing what to do....

There are of course more than one way to bring the conflict to an end. Trump's way of throwing Ukraine under the bus is just wrong and against democratic values.

Arm Ukriane to force Russia 🇷🇺 to come to the table is the right thing to do.

Hamas can rot in hell as far as I am concerned.

Sachs is just wrong.

From economist to Kremlin mouthpiece: The troubling transformation of Jeffrey Sachs

www.thehill.com/opinion/international/4727046-from-economist-to-kremlin-mouthpiece-the-troubling-transformation-of-jeffrey-sachs/

Three weeks ago, Tucker Carlson invited economist Jeffrey Sachs for an interview, that could claim second prize in the category of “Whitewashing Russian President Vladimir Putin for Republican audiences.”

First prize, of course, still belongs to Carlson himself for giving Russian dictator a two-hour interview, in which Putin embarrassed Carlson by offering events from 1,000 years ago as justification for Russia’s invasion in 2022.

Carlson’s interview with Putin was widely quoted but also widely fact-checked. So, I would like to fact-check the Sachs interview as well.

Sachs is well-known in the field of economics, considered one of the authors of the so-called “shock therapy” used on the economies of post-communist Poland and Russia. It is a shame to see this once-respected Columbia University professor stoop to the level of freelance Kremlin propagandist, promoting multiple pieces of Russian disinformation.

Sachs’ propaganda speech justifying Russia’s aggression in Ukraine is disguised among supposed “historical facts,” many of which don’t hold up under scrutiny.

He is still respected.

And, he even helped found and run Earth Institute at Columbia.

It is spot on, but the die hards here will label you as an Alex jones because they've never heard the truth.... There is far more to the situation.

I have heard both Sachs and Mearsheimer many many times.

Heard and rejected their narratives.

I believe Biden accomplished what he wanted. To kill as many Russians as possible without having first line responsibility.  I bet he is very happy how it worked out.

I would guess that all the dead Ukrainians are not quite as  happy.
