There were several instances of President Trump offering tributes to Americans, his guests, sitting in the gallery during the speech. All state of the unions have these moments, that's how they go. Normally all  congressional members will acknowledge them. But the Dems hatred for Trump is so overpowering that they have gone off the deep end. The guests and their stories, in most cases involving pain and loss of loved ones, deserved acknowledgement. That would be some polite applause at the minimum. Just some basic human decency. But the Dems couldn't even do that. They are heartless, soul-less creatures. This was among the best moments of the night. It is sad that the Dems are so blinded by hatred they've lost their humanity.

Meanwhile, most thinking people recoil at Trump's shameful attempts to surrender Ukraine to their Russian invaders. 

 

Shake their heads at Trump's attempts to curtail clear energy policies/programs  while at the same time trying to expand the use of pollution generating fossil fuels.

 

Going to end up paying the price for Trump and Co's efforts to gut environmental and consumer protection policies that protect ordinary people from corporate wrongdoing,

 

The world is going to end up being in a far worse place if Trump is successful in trampling the U.S.'s democratic traditions... Unless, of course, you're like some of the posters here who think the U.S. ought to a western mirror version of Russia.

Wasn't Trump wanting people forecefully held down and injected with dangerous muck. Wasn't him censoring facts that ran contrary to democrat false but popular narratives. Wasn't Trump that tried jailing the political opponent he knew he couldn't beat in a fair election.

Trump did good, and the lunatic Democrats on the left ended up looking like the true idiots that they are.  The little signs they held up from time to time only made matters worse for them.  Juvenile tactics. Anyway, what a difference a few months makes.  The unelected Deep State reduced to looking like fools.  

 

One thing surprised me: Trump acknowledged an apology letter from Zelenskyy.  He didn't say much about it, one way or the other, other than to read it out loud.  So we'll have to see.  Before this is over, perhaps he can get both Russia and Ukraine to sign off on an immediate end to the war.  He didn't say anything about NATO or the prospect of a continuation of hostilities with Europe involved.  Maybe that's dead in the water? Europe knows they have no troops that can sustain a war, and no money to fight one.  Trump wins all the way around. 

 

Another interesting tidbit:  he suggested that the tariffs could be a little flexible.  Of course, that was always the case, I think.  It's supposed to be a self adjusting process.
