Not only them, Qatar had a spat with Airbus over peeling paint on some airplanes and cancelled many orders, forcing them to lease planes from other airlines that are inferior. So now, you really have to check on what aircraft you are flying to Europe on, and this definitely affects the standards and seating arrangements in business class. My last couple of jaunts have involved certain legs of the journey that were absolutely not the 5-star airline experience they claim to be. This September I am flying again and looking at both Finnair and Malaysian Air for deals. Possibly even Etihad!
