If they did abandon the dollar, the only thing that would make sense would be for them to go with their own currency.

That tells me Americans are among the chief contributors to climate change. A few more hurricanes and wild fires are needed to get the message across. Or a bigger sea level rise on the eastern seaboard.

 

The bigger the GDP gap gets, the more probable the BRICS will set up a rival reserve currency. That status is the only reason the US can keep printing money, without going into hyperinflation.

Does anyone actually know what 'American' goods, services and products are nowadays? Is John Deere American? Stellantis...? Apple, Kraft Heinz?

Nobody forced the US to establish 750 military bases in the rest of the world. America did that to ring-fence the Soviet Union.

 

No one twisted America's arm to export their industries overseas. Their own bean counters did that. Where were Trump's gold sneakers made? Or Elon's Tesla's?
