I would imagine there would be a lot of work and cost involved getting the road surfaces up to scratch.

Pit stop locations. Arranging spectator viewpoints and many other things which would be needed to attract the motor sport followers.

Yeah this is the same government that cancelled the MOTOGP because daddy does not like the promoter.  Can you really see the F1 circus landing here with this crowd in charge.  A lot of many has to be put up for this and thailand does not have it.

I genuinely think Samui would be a great location for a race - it's got almost everything needed: airport, hotels, scenery, less dodgy than Pattaya (missing a racetrack but street race could work)

Your figures have to multiplied by at least 5, because those contracts are running for at least 5 years.

Also you have to add the costs for developing infrastructure.

I reckon Baen Saeng is the go.

already run a street circuit race each year, track is FIA grade 3.... update it to grade 1.

close to Bangkok and Pattaya, Ideal location in my opinion.
