Which Services/Apps To Replicate Skype's "Calling To U.S. Landline And Mobile Numbers"?
Wow, good to know. I didn't try that, just had the idea on the back burner after reading accounts of that process. I'll not pursue that method, no. After getting some call-out service, I'll be covered. I may just wait till my next trip to the U.S. to get a Voice account, get one on the up-and-up. -

IRS to Lose Billions in Revenue If Migrants Stop Filing Taxes
Lose billions in tax revenue. Save billions in education, prison, emergency room, law enforcement, etc. At best, a wash. Hell, New York City alone has spent $5 billion on services for illegal migrants in just 2 years, according to Mayor Adams. There is no industry that has a majority illegal worker workforce. There is no such thing as a job that an American citizen or legal resident won't do, only jobs that they won't do for pittance wages. Like the idiot congresscritter Jasmine Crockett said, "who's gonna pick the cotton?" She wants a permanent underclass of pseudo-slaves to do the scut work at peasant wages. What a racist. -

Eighty Years Since the Liberation of Bergen-Belsen
Visited Sachsenhausen concentration camp in my teens in what was then East Germany. I'll never forget it. It was less than 40 years since the end of WW 2 and West Berlin was such an awesome place to experience, an island of democracy in a sea of communism/totalitarianism. Now the drums of war have started beating again, this time in the east, with a murderous dictator in the Kremlin longing for the reestablishment of the USSR. And in Washington a moronic clown and fascist wannabe is in the WH. Really glad I'm not starting a family in these times. -
