The passenger was a victim.  What was the "absurd speed"?

Speed sufficient enough to launch a two tonne car over two pickup trucks...

... absurd enough for you...      or you want officially calibrated speed reading ?

It would be interesting to know how the investigations will proceed and what sanctions will be applied to a case like this, where miraculously, despite an absurd speed, there were no victims.

Unless, of course, as often happens around here, this poor driver too had the usual brake failure.......

does he qualify for the position of Bus Driver ?

You are correct and you are probably one of the safe drivers.  I'm not sure, but I think the engine in the new Ford Rangers are very strong and the owners in my housing estate drive fast, are irresponsible and have no regard to elderly, children, babies and pets.   I actually had a Ford Ranger many many years ago.  It was smaller, reliable and didn't go so fast.  I'm pretty sure it was stick shift too. Not sure why (not you) these people have to speed and go so fast.   usually BMW and Ford Ranger drivers, but a lot of others too.   What I said was sort of a joke.

I have the good old 3.2 diesel all the new trucks are all gas guzzling turbos. I have to laugh how ties like to drive 200 mph but yet they don't like to spend money

Yes, I would prefer that rather than some absurd AN-poster's speculation; who, rationally, would not?

'who, rationally, would not?' you ask - Only one poster I'm aware of on this forum - You !!... though I suspect as usual your comment is more pedanticism than rationality...

There is nothing absurd whatsoever about an AN poster speculating that a 2 tonne vehicle was travelling at a high enough rate of speed to be considered 'absurd' if it managed to 'launch itself  onto two pick-up trucks'....

I'd argue that such a comment is in-fact based on a high degree of rationality.
