As much as I like Trump, pissing everyone off, does he not know US brands are sold in Nam already.   Especially Ford, but come from TH.   Would imagine others coming from CN are sold there also.

Why ship a car so far, when they are already made in Asia.  That's a false impression.  Still, with no tariff, that can't compete with CN's auto market, or VinFast.

MG, GAC, Wuling, BYD, Chery, and Dongfeng already getting established in Nam.

Add to that, Nam seems to be leaning toward EV,  as VinFast leads in sales, and USA doesn't really do EVs.

From Ms Google ... "In Vietnam, VinFast is currently the best-selling car brand" ... and VinFast doesn't do ICEV.

USA needs to catch up to the 21st Century.

More lying from Trump!

It's American consumers and businesses who will pay this 20% tariff! 🙂

When I read some of these WINNING posts, I think of this as attributed to Vince Lombardi:

"When you go into the end zone, act like you've been there before.”

Blah blah.

Tariffs are not paid by the exporters, they are paid by the importers who forward it to the final customer.

It's a tax and it's a domestic tax! Trump is lying, as usual.

Vietnam doesn't pay any tariff. It's a lie for the gullible! 🤣

More lame deflection. It's the Americans who are paying tariffs, not Vietnam!

FYI

And that's the interesting part: it's largely due to an increase in public employment at state and local level. Does it mean that some of the  public employment decrease at the federal level is being replaced by State and local public employment?

"Government employment rose by 73,000 in June. Employment in state government increased by 47,000, largely in education (+40,000). Employment in local government education continued to trend up (+23,000). Job losses continued in federal government (-7,000)"

A full original report is always better than a tweet! 🙂
