President Trump convened CEOs of some of the country’s top automakers for a call earlier this month, he issued a warning: They better not raise car prices because of tariffs.

Trump told the executives that the White House would look unfavorably on such a move, leaving some of them rattled and worried they would face punishment if they increased prices, people with knowledge of the call said.

Price control. That's right out of the socialist handbook. The US is not a capitalist democracy anymore. It's run by a king with socialist leanings and his court is packed exclusively by unwitting jesters.

I don't know what the profit margins are on car sales in the US but if they're not allowed to raise prices they're bound to be going out of business. Great for American car companies in the short term but in the long term it's a disaster. 

And for the American consumer this all sucks. Welcome to the new reality; The Nationalist-Socialist Disunited States of America.

He's going right for the jugular of big business. That's why he's pushing for a big cut in corporate tax rates from 21% to 15%. He's going to kill them with kindness.

Actually, the case is even worse. Harris wanted to stop price gouging. But Trump wants to stop auto manufacturers from pricing in the very real costs s caused by his protectionist polcies.
