Scuba diving

A fan favourite bucket list item to check off in Thailand is of course taking a deeper look into the amazing marine life the country has to offer. If you want to dive in deeper than just the surface-level experience you can get from snorkelling, scuba diving is the way to go.

Just make sure that you are secure in your ability to swim and scuba diving before you go for it as it could be dangerous if done irresponsibly.

  • Koh Kanta (contains an extensive variety of marine life)

  • Koh Tao (well-known for its dive schools)
  • Koh Phi Phi (great place to find Leopard sharks)
  • Similan Islands (a hotspot for manta rays and whale sharks)
  • Pattaya (wreck dives galore)

Go island hopping throughout the variety of islands in Southern Thailand

Island hopping is a great way to explore all of the natural wonders that Thailand has to offer. For travellers looking to keep it moving, island hopping is a great way to see a lot, in a short period of time.

The other things that you can do in Thailand throughout this time would be:

  • Visit the variety of beaches the country offers, such as Tubtim Bay, Ko Samet
  • Visit beautiful national parks such as Khao Luang National Park
  • Go hiking at sites like the Tiger Cave Temple
  • Take a boat trip and get to know the country at a glance or with a more immersive experience with trips such as the 2-Hour Journey Through Local Life
  • And of course, last but never least. Take a tour through the infamous Buddhist Temples that the country has to offer

Checked ThaiVietJet Air a couple days ago and was surprised to see a bunch of 49 baht fares (after tax less then 400 baht) to many destinations in Thailand)!  Booked the family to Krabi in June (school holidays). Nice!
