April 5, 2025Apr 5 My 8 year old TCL TV has a horizontal line across the top of the screen and none of the online suggested fixes has helped it. Unfortunately, the TCL service center is extremely low rated on Google and I think I may be better off using an independent service center. I will try calling TCL again though next week. I was stuck on hold yesterday until I gave up. Any recommendations for a good company in Bangkok. Thanks.

My 8 year old TCL has a far better picture then my 2 year old Samsung (not a QLED though) which required a new screen just out of warranty. TCL are highly rated for picture quality, anyway.
April 5, 2025Apr 5 Sounds like you might’ve picked the wrong Samsung model — that’s hardly conclusive proof TCL is better. I had to use a high-end, new TCL for 16 hours a day during a three-month recovery at a health facility, after being used to my LG AI OLED at home. The facility had frequent breakdowns with other TCLs too. After three months, I was more than ready to go home — mostly for the upgrade in AV. At some point, even the hospital bed looked better than the picture.

Maybe look at models released in 2024 for newer tech but without higher current prices. OP hope you find a repair tech.

TCL have a 3 year warranty LG and Samsung have a 1 year warranty (and I've had a Samsung fail after 18 months) Get a new 75" TCL off Lazada for 17kbht Picture quality better than my LG and Samsung. Not to mention TCL runs Google TV.

However, I am discovering it is seemingly impossible to schedule a service call with TCL and the Google review for TCL service are amazingly bad. tcl electronics (thailand) co.,ltd reviews https://g.co/kgs/kApchnQ I wonder what their story is with the terrible after sales service. All they can say to me when I call is that somone will call me back, but no one does.
