Car with Gear Malfunction Jumps Median and Clips Other Vehicles - video
Picture courtesy of Thai Rath A dramatic video has emerged online showing a car with a faulty gearbox veering across a central reservation, narrowly avoiding collisions in the Tha Maka area. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. The footage, which quickly gained attention on social media, was posted by a Facebook user who captured the heart-stopping moment a grey vehicle lost control, careening across the central divider towards oncoming traffic. Thanks to the quick reactions of another driver who managed to brake in time, a serious accident was avoided. The incident, caught on film at 11:00 AM on 16th April 2025, has sparked widespread discussion. According to local police at Tha Maka station, the mishap occurred just as the vehicle was leaving a parking spot. The driver engaged drive mode, but a gearbox malfunction caused the car to lurch uncontrollably, crossing the pavement and clipping two to three other vehicles in transit before coming to a halt on the central reservation. Initial reports indicate only property damage, with no one injured. Based on a story by Thai Rath -- 2025-04-17 -

Why, Oh Why: has the Left turned on Elon? No more gravy-train?
Not at all kinky. More motherly than kinky. Anyway, sometimes it's good to have a Mrs. Robinson, at least one time in one's life. I guess it depends on the individual. -

Eighty Years Since the Liberation of Bergen-Belsen
In Philip K. Dick's novel The Man in the High Castle he paints a scenario where the Allies lost WWII, and the US is divided in half by Japan and Germany. In this world, Germany has two priorities they are rigorously pursuing, to the point of possibly bankrupting their country: colonizing outer space and continuing the Holocaust until complete eradication. He contrasts this with the Japanese who he depicts as curious and simpatico, and that they are quite aware that the reasons the Germans detest the Jews could easily be applied to them, and perhaps someday will be. It's an easy read that involves a lot of thought. No comment on the teevee movie they made a few years ago, as I didn't see it. -

Why, Oh Why: has the Left turned on Elon? No more gravy-train?
Sounds kinky. What about comparing the crunch sound of different chip brands, investigating why fridge light bulbs never burn out, ranking cloud shapes by personality type, trying to decode dog facial expressions during sleep, questioning why shoelaces only untie in public, debating the true purpose of belly buttons, logging dream-to-wake transition times, testing how many grapes fit in your mouth without chewing, wondering if socks feel betrayal when mismatched, and analyzing the flirtation habits of garden gnomes???
