A 37-year-old paper factory worker lost his life after being crushed by a machine in a horrific workplace incident.

The incident occurred around 10:30 on the 10 April, at a paper box manufacturing plant in Ban Rakat, Bang Bo district, Samut Prakan. Police were called to the scene after receiving reports of a fatality caused by machinery.

Upon arrival, they found the body of the victim, identified as Songphol, a 37-year-old man from Chachoengsao, lying on a paper press machine. He had sustained severe head injuries with blood pooling on the floor.

According to a colleague, Sarawut, aged 47, the incident occurred after the two workers had started a work task. Songphol activated the machine, and upon noticing a canvas sheet blocking the machine’s mechanism, he crawled inside to remove it. Unfortunately, he forgot the machine was still operational, and he was crushed by it, resulting in fatal head injuries. Sarawut attempted to assist, but it was too late.
