Jeez, nobody said cheap / crappy car jacks didn't exist. However you just blamed the Chinese without knowing anything - that's quite different.

There but for the grace of God go I......I was tightening the torsion bars on an E-Type when it started to swing of the blocks.

 

I had just enough strength, leaning against a wall, to hold it until help arrived.....touch and go.
