The Department of Rights Protection and Liberties has released a statement confirming that the death of former police chief Joe Thitisan was the result of suicide by hanging, with no signs of foul play.

On 18th April 2025, the Ministry of Justice's Department of Rights Protection published findings concerning the tragic death of former police colonel Thitisan, who died while in custody at Bangkok Klong Prem Central Prison.

Initial investigations were delayed to await the formal autopsy results from the Institute of Forensic Medicine and Chulalongkorn Hospital, as well as evidence analysis by the Royal Thai Police.

The forensic report has now concluded that the injuries found were consistent with suicide.

Key details from the autopsy include a neck compression mark consistent with hanging, superficial abrasions on the left arm consistent with post-mortem insect bites, and old bruising on the torso, none of which suggested external assault or struggle.

The toxicology report identified the presence of antidepressants, sleeping pills, and a medication for high blood pressure, yet no toxic substances were detected.

In summary, the official cause of death has been determined as asphyxiation due to hanging. The investigation is proceeding, with the police preparing to pass the findings to the public prosecutor for judicial review.

It took a long time to come to this result...He could be hanged as there were sleeping pills and anti depressants in his blood.. And of course as this is hot in Thailand High bloodpressure....But old bruises on the body means there was more .... but the CSI of Thailand never investigate good, and now after months they can present a report... It shows all

Either way, no skin off of my nose, that said, I would have preferred to hear that he went out with a plastic bag, hands tied behind his back, then untied, you know, and eye for an eye way, but glad this piece of sheet is gone.

The above said, suicide assisted in my opinion.

Well someone died....Were they not having trouble identifying the body a few hours after Joes so called death?

I would make a sizable bet old Joe is alive and well some where....Maybe on the same Island as Jeffrey Epstein...

I wonder if the same corner did an autopsy on Jeffrey Epstein and decided that the sheets that had the consistency of toilet paper we used to hang himself from a bed that was two feet off the ground?

Talk about not passing the smell test. I smell some very stinky and rotten fish. There's about a 0% chance that Epstein died of suicide and my guess is that the same number applies to poor Joe.

That beach might end up crowded.  Maybe Zelenskyy has got a "lounge chair" a couple of meters from Epstein's.

An Island? or 7 Kilometers North of Tel Aviv? ~  Whatever.

Yes he was scum. Yes he was a senior officer in the RTP and you know how you become a senior officer. You buy your way there to those above you, He had millions of Baht worth of ill gotten gains such as the cars.

My questions in my mind if I were him I would not commit suicide as I know the names of the top RTP officials and can expect a shortened sentence. Otherwise if they screw me I screw them. As getting rid of those Ferraris would leave a clear money trail. So has any so called investigation followed that path. I bet NOT.

Unfortunately, they did not trust him either way and quickly made the decision. The so called investigation is a joke. As prior comments mentioned similar to Epstein who could have, I strongly believe convicted the Royal Prince Edward, Duke of York. plus many others.

Joe Ferrari… (I just) DIED in your arms tonight!
(Must’ve been looting… but it felt so right!)

Now my heart’s got a permanent warrant for you!"** 🚔💔

My pathological understanding does not cover the situation, where post-mortem insect bites do not suggested external assault or struggle. But then, who am I and why should I query/doubt any official statement.

Possibly he got epsteined as he had less motivation to noose himself rather than all those who benefit he no longer collects Italian sport cars ..........

toxicology report identified the presence of antidepressants,

This seems strange to me.

What did he have to be depressed about?

Interestingly, some antidepressant drugs have been linked to increased risk of suicide.

I would never use those kinds of meds.

They change the brain chemistry in unforeseen and poorly understood ways.

Also, he seemed like such a nice guy.

Always smiling.
