Popular Post Social Media Posted 5 hours ago Popular Post Posted 5 hours ago A hundred days into his second term, Donald Trump is moving at a breathtaking pace, delivering on promises with a velocity that has rattled critics and electrified supporters. While outlets like The New York Times clamor to paint a picture of disarray, the reality on the ground tells a far more complex story—one that echoes the visual trick of the Duck-Rabbit illusion. Depending on your vantage point, Trump’s America is either in chaos or on the cusp of a new era. “The turbulent early months of Mr. Trump’s administration are seen as ‘chaotic’ and ‘scary’ by majorities of voters,” reported The New York Times, citing their own poll conducted in partnership with Siena College. That survey pegged the president’s approval rating at 42 percent, down from around 50 percent at the start of the year. But other polls—like one conducted by the Daily Mail—have him at a robust 54 percent. As viewers of Yes, Prime Minister would know, polls are highly sensitive to the way questions are framed. They often reflect the desires of those commissioning them more than the sentiment of the public at large. The media’s dire tone is hardly new. During Trump’s first term, each controversy—be it Russia, Stormy Daniels, or January 6—was heralded as the scandal that would finally bring him down. But none ever did. The latest accusation, that Trump’s reforms are too swift or too disruptive, is more of the same. “What the Left calls ‘chaos’ the rest of us call ‘winning,’” the author notes. Trump’s agenda is unapologetically aggressive. He was re-elected on the strength of a three-pronged promise: to secure the border, deport illegal immigrants, and reorient the U.S. economy and foreign policy around American interests. In just over three months, he has made startling progress on all fronts. Border crossings have plummeted, deportations have surged, and countries once resistant to Trump’s America First stance are now seeking trade agreements on his terms. Even China is sending quiet signals of cooperation. Key to his momentum is the work of Elon Musk and the newly minted Department of Government Efficiency. Their audits have unearthed staggering levels of waste and corruption throughout federal agencies. Trump’s call to “Make America Great Again” is not mere branding—it’s an insistence on fiscal discipline not seen since before Lyndon Johnson’s Great Society initiatives flooded the system with unaccountable spending. “Trump’s deployment of Doge is a first step on the long journey of fiscal recovery, but it is a step in the right direction,” the piece argues. Signs of broader transformation are beginning to surface. The economy, briefly rattled by tariffs, is recovering. The crisis in Ukraine may soon see resolution. At home, Trump is taking on America’s elite academic institutions, pressing them to abandon discriminatory practices and purge deeply ingrained ideological biases. Ivy League schools appear to be folding, one by one, under that pressure. You won’t find this narrative in The New York Times. But to many Americans, what once looked like a duck now clearly resembles a charging bull. As the puzzle pieces of Trump’s second term click into place, his vision of a revitalized, disciplined, and proudly sovereign America is beginning to feel not just possible, but inevitable. For his supporters, a new golden age may indeed be dawning. Adpated by ASEAN Now from The Telegraph 2025-04-30 4 3

Popular Post Jingthing Posted 5 hours ago Popular Post Posted 5 hours ago Not winning. The American people (except billionaires) are the biggest losers even if too many don't know it yet. This not from a so called lefty but from a REPUBLICAN. 'Trump is a bully, and bullies are cowards!' | Joe Walsh breaks down Trump's first 100 days "You have to stand up to a bully, you have to punch a bully in the nose." Donald Trump has used his first 100 days to "attack our democracy" and the world needs to "wake up" and prepare for the worst, says former Republican Congressman for Illinois Joe Walsh. 1 3 1 3 3

So when it's anti-Trump it's the truth but when there's an article about what Trump is actually achieving it's propaganda. Thank you for displaying the mindset of those afflicted the the syndrome. I've said on other occasions he could end all wars, all disease and abolish all hunger and people like you would still find something to complain about. It's just pitiful. As for the article itself it's not that great in that it doesn't list what's actually been achieved in his first 100 days which is A LOT. 2 2 9 1 1

Chomper Higgot Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago The ‘winning’ is showing up in American shopping baskets. Amazon have just announced they are adding a ‘Tariff Price indicator’ to products on their U.S. Platform, this will provide transparency to customers of the price increase due to Trump’s tariffs. Its a transparency the White House isn’t keen on. Walmart and Target are warning of empty shelves as Trump’s tariffs trade war continues with no end in sight. But there has been a win on paper straws. https://www.business-standard.com/amp/world-news/us-china-trade-war-port-air-freight-shipment-drop-retailers-empty-shelves-125042800642_1.html 1 2 2

As for the article itself it's not that great in that it doesn't list what's actually been achieved in his first 100 days which is A LOT. Well, it really doesn't matter what anyone says. What matters is the end result. There's no denying many of his his supporters are hero worshipers, blind to the truth and only see the things he's done right. The other side is also guilty, thinking because he screwed up in some things that he always will. The truth is in the middle somewhere. Only the really blind can't see him for the character he is. A misogynist, criminal, narcissist that thinks he's always right. Many presidents have screwed up and done immoral things, but did they help America? yes, as history has shown us. Trump has a huge ego, thinking he can do anything he wants. He can't, as history has proven. That he has the power to do a lot is obvious. Will what he's been doing since this term began hurt America? Time will tell. This is his second term, and no president does things alone. There isn't much anyone can do about it now unless he really does some damage, so all we can do is wait and see. Both sides of supporters have a syndrome. Both sides of the government have problems. I never liked Trump and have seen him for what he really is all along, long before he became president. Thing is, he's all we have now, at least until he either really screws up or does some good. The border is a problem but won't be fixed in this term, if ever. He couldn't end the war in one day even if nuclear weapons were used. That was his ego talking. The main problems are the people in the US and their finances. Let's see if he does anything for the average American who's struggling. 1 2 1 1

That will only happen if they get rid of all income tax and convert the government to running on tarrifs. That means everything costs significantly more and the billionaire/millionaire class, because they spend a significantly smaller percentage of their income on consumption, get a huge tax break. 2

That would be nice, though now, I'm under the taxable threshold, since married, though that might be a stretch, legally. I'd like to see no RE taxes on your primary residence after a certain age, or while collecting Social Security. One thing that keeps me from even thinking about living in the USA, on principle, and what a huge chunk of one's income that is, along with monthly healthcare premiums. My total monthly bills living in TH doesn't equal what just those 2 monthly bills alone would be. Taxed to live in a house, you paid a tax on, when you bought, with income that was already taxed. Something inherently wrong that concept.
Popular Post JimHuaHin Posted 3 hours ago Popular Post Posted 3 hours ago Yes Trump is winning! Popular Post StandardIssue Posted 3 hours ago Popular Post Posted 3 hours ago "Still Winning" is almost on par with the open ended BS slogan he ran on "Make America Great Again" which is so vague as to include the hopes of bigots who wish slavery to return, women to find their place back in the kitchen and homosexuality to be outlawed. How did Archie Bunker put it? Them's were the days!! Still Winning? Anyone with half a brain understands that means NOTHING! Winning at feeding his own EGO .. maybe, if it can ever be satisfactory fed. All Trump has done is to disrupt the global economy. Anyone lucky enough to have a decent nest egg invested in a typical equities and bonds portfolio understand just how much they have "won". In my case about negative 10% Is that winning? Alienating America's allies in the global community? Is that winning? What a load of monkey spunk. 1 3
