Renewing Retirement visa.

Featured Replies

Guy just been wondering can I still go into the Bangkok office and renew my visa (retirement) has I been doing for the last 10 years . The reason I am asking is because I been looking through the forum and seeing people writing about appointments  So I making sure that I can still go through without an appointment .

No problem for walk in.

This works for me.

Don't arrive super early as many recommend.

Arrive just prior to lunch break (12pm) and obtain queue ticket.

Then go and do any photocopying, banking etc.

At 1pm you don't que up in the long line as you have a ticket.

Stand to left of entry door and you do in first.

Then of course wait for your #.

Don't waste time then trying to get a reentry permit. You can obtain that at airport on day of departure.

Never obtained reentry permit at Swampy. Can you remind where exactly is the airport desk(s)?

After security, just before immigration desks....

I believe it has moved now, but just ask the passport control officers and they'll direct you to the correct location.

Think that was temporary thing.

As you say... Ask immigration staff and you will quickly be directed.

Regarding reentry permit advice.

Found this site gives clear advice.

https://www.expatden.com/thailand/thailand-re-entry-permit/

appointment speeds things up but is not mandatory by any means.  In case you're interested go here to make one.....
