My point - her company signed lucrative deals, one required to appear as this at the Met Gala'2025.

She's doing a good job for the international reputation of Thailand (more than any politician) ... but one irony is that if she wore that outfit in Thailand some 'netizens' would complain about it and the news channels would pixilated her backside.

Let’s not kid ourselves—this had nothing to do with a K-pop contract. Lisa’s been representing Louis Vuitton in Europe for a while now. In July 2024, she was officially named a house ambassador, marking a pivotal shift in her career toward high fashion. She’s also been dating one of Arnault’s sons for two years and has already appeared at their family gatherings.
 

That Met Gala look? It was her coronation. From K-pop idol to movie star—now world future fashion royalty. Already honored by King Charles, she’s walking that carpet like it’s her runway.

I guess the hooker look is in, not that it was ever out.  Strange for an Asian to fall for it.   If standing on a corner in Philly, she'd be rousted by PoPo and told to move along

Totally agree. For a girl from Buriram to have made it in the world of fashion, music and business is absolutely amazing and she should be recognised a lot more by the Thai people, as she is the epiphany of the soft power pushed by the government. As she is worth about $50m in her own right, plus her supposed boyfriend is an  heir to a fantastic fortune and business empire, I think she can wear whatever she likes, especially as she is the global ambassador for that brand. Anyway that's my thoughts for today  on the subject.

 She's dressed like a hooker.  That it's and expensive hooker outfit is irrelevant.  Do you think she wears at the family's at dinner time.   Same with so many celebs, looking slutty, and don't think they show up and Ma's house for dinner in such attire.

 

I get it, it's 'look at me' for work, but other, present themselves modestly dress and get the same attention.

 

Just my opinion, as we are allowed them.  I just prefer women that have a wee bit of self respect and fashion sense.   My wife could almost pull that outfit off, but then, I wouldn't want her as a wife.

it's amazing what $$$ can get. the dude looks like a complete dweeb and if he wasn't mega rich, she wouldn't even bother looking his way. Kind of like the bargirls and punter relationship.

Not starting an argument, but no Thai is pure. They have either Lao (Northern Thailand) Malay (Southern Thailand), Khmer (southeast Thailand) or Chinese (Central/ Bangkok) mixed with Tai/ Kadai (Northern Viet Nam and Southern China)) admixture.  And if she's from Buri Ram, she most likely has Khmer blood too. 

My Thai wife is Thai from her mother side and Lao and Chinese from her father side.

Well said. I always baulk at these kinds of topics — pretty local stars making it in the world. Posts like ‘every student campus has one’ (of course it does, so what?), or ‘she’s nothing special’, calling her a hooker or ‘I wouldn’t do her with yours’ etc… all the while probably downing another case of Chang in their wife-beater and flip flops. Like any of you would have a hope in hell, even with a lookalike as a ‘normal’ girl here. 
 

Her music’s not for me, I don’t follow her and beauty is subjective and all that, but she’s clearly a stunner and has done well for herself. Why do people find it so hard to acknowledge it when a Thai is successful?
