All vaccinated people will have higher probability to get infected. IMHO,  This is another scam to sell vaccines.  Health scare is the tool to control masses.

I've never met a doctor who recommended exercise, a good diet or enough sun exposure and health supplements. Just medicines to sell sell sell. I don't even bother going to the doctor anymore unless I need stitches or sth like that.

"Experts!"  "Experts" were saying that.  If an "Expert" says something, you're to turn you brain and analytical capacities off and bow at their feet.  And if they lie to you, well, "mistakes were made."

Don't forget, believe everything the legacy media tells you. Sadly the world's full of sheeple and said sheeple are well represented on this forum.

That's why I never stopped wearing a mask, even in the shower and ........    I knew when I saw others wearing a mask in 2025 they knew something as well.   Masks for life!!!!!   Three when sleeping and four when driving, replace every 9 minutes.

Keep your day job if you have one.  Maybe you can last a couple of minutes at a comedy club.

I expect that the CCP will soon come to the rescue to sell the old stock of Sinovac. They'll do what they do in trade to avoid tariffs: they'll change the labels. These labels will show a new manufacturing date, of course. The Golden Rule is: Never buy, eat, or use anything made in China.

Young people have a minuscule risk....those at risk  as was the case since the beginning  are the elderly and those with  other health issues  such as being obese...seems they want to play this whole playbook all over again..I'm hoping that most people are now a bit more "awake"  ???

When you do get Covid, what actually saves you is your vaccination status. Sorry for remiding you of that.

Almost every doctor I've met recommended all of those except supplements.
I guess supplements aren't part of big pharma. They are sold by the billion dollar "wellness" industry to people who believe they know more than the medical community.

I do not see why they demand we buy our own test kits at a pharmacy when the hospital could supply them at a cost to make profit from this as well.

Probably because, with a foreigner present, the risk of "bad covid" (the type that a foreigner gets) would just be too high to risk.

Many years ago an old Scottish friend nearly died of bacterial meningitis, having first showed symptoms about a week after arriving in Thailand. I suspected that he might have caught it on the aeroplane on the journey from Scotland. He nearly died but Bumrungrad saved him. (Travel insurance paid).

Thailand has a large 'transient-population'.

I guess there are doctors out there, yeah. But I've yet to meet that doctor who, without trying to prescribe me something, directly goes to exercise or diet as a solution. That doesn't makse them money. Unless I have a deep wound, they've lost all my trust.

Had to take family to hospital as we all got sick with sore throat and coughing and congestion. The hospital told us we had to buy covid and flu testing kits at pharmacy prior to seeing the doctor. All clear for that test. But a waste to spend 900 baht on the tests prior to even seeing the doctor.

I do not see why they demand we buy our own test kits at a pharmacy when the hospital could supply them at a cost to make profit from this as well.

At any rate, at least we know it is not the new covid spreading around. Will have to be careful now especially with schools opening next week. It may be prudent to purchase some new masks for the kids as the schools may begin to require them again if this outbreak gets worse.

I'm pretty sure that we now have to pay for the test kits in the UK, they were free during the pandemic.

" The Department of Disease Control, Ministry of Public Health, revealed the situation of COVID-19 patients over the past week. The trend of the outbreak has begun to decrease and is lower than the number of patients in the same period of the past 2 years. It is expected that the outbreak in the previous week from the large gathering of people during the Songkran Festival can be found throughout the year and patients are found according to the season."

"Today (8 May 2025), Dr. Panumas Yanawetsakul, Director-General of the Department of Disease Control, revealed the COVID-19 situation in Thailand for this week. From 4-8 May 2025, the Department of Disease Control received reports of 7,013 patients and 1 death. The highest rate of infection was found in the 0-4 age group, followed by the 30-39 age group and the 20-29 age group, respectively. The deceased were aged 60 and over. For the COVID-19 situation in Thailand from 1 January to 8 May 2025, there were a total of 41,197 patients and 15 deaths."

"As for the influenza situation from January 1 - May 8, 2025, there were a total of 322,991 influenza patients, with an illness rate of 497.58 per 100,000 people. There were 43 reported deaths. Influenza patients tended to increase slightly during the Songkran Festival (between April 13 - 26, 2025)."

So there was a small spike during the Songkran season and there could be a minor increase during the rainy season.

If Thais weren't so scared of getting some sunshine and walking around, that would probably be a complete non-issue at this point. All that coughing and sneezing in Bangkok and I never seem to catch anything.

Not arguing with anyone and I'm not an anti vaxxer - just stating facts. I have had every vaccine offered and it hasn't stopped me getting Covid 4 times and each time its been worse. I spent the entire New Year holiday this year in bed at my Thai home (the worst I've ever had it) but I almost certainly picked it up from my daughter in the UK before I left.

When discussing the fact that I'd had it again with friends in Thailand, many commented that a family member or friend had also had the virus recently so this 'resurgence' doesn't appear to be new.

What saved the billions of people that got Covid  before the "vaccines" arrived ?

do you need reminding of the case fatality rate of Covid ?

There is no way of knowing that having had the vaccine and then catching the Covid if  your symptoms would have been any different from not having the vaccine in the first place.

Do you need reminding of what the "virologists" said from the beginning  which is that these sorts of "viri"  typically evolve to be  more infectious but less deadly

and that is what happened.

You got right ahead and take as many shots as you want.
