May 9, 2025May 9 Anyone know if lots of families/kids stay here? Looking for a hotel for a week and need to keep my 8 year old entertained. City beach resort has a pretty amazing location close to the old city and the beach which is important to us.

May 11, 2025May 11 You should do a bit more research. I have been there twice over the past decade - both times to take then Thai gf to some Ministry of Public health meeting/conference being held there.
May 26, 2025May 26 Been there ... couple with kid .. perfect location .. nice swimming pool ... easy to park (for you or Grab), 5-10mn waking distance from "no so nice" beach ... restaurant available inside the hotel. Not a super fancy hotel but no headache when installed. Don't choose the suite, if you want a real balcony (to dry clothes for example). (2,500thb/night seeems expensive during low season)
August 10, 2025Aug 10 I stayed there for 3 nights last week. Great location, 5 minutes walk from the beach, 2 minutes to nightlife, two 7/11s and a nice Irish pub less than 30 minutes walk away. The hotel itself is very dated, kind eerie, but it's still a half decent hotel. I paid 1200baht per night on Agoda, 2,500 is wayyyyy too much! Anyway, check out my full video review here: City Beach Resort - Hua Hin - Review
August 10, 2025Aug 10 Book though Agoda, about <1100 THB, standard room for 2 Adults, not sure about kid policy. Booking.com same price and that price for 20 Aug.
August 11, 2025Aug 11 Ghetto. At least the police station is around the corner, not that the cops ever seem to patrol. This part of the town is slowly dying and the customers waddling along are hanging on for dear life. They put in a 24 hour self serve laundry on the other side of the building. That's how desirable that district is. The sooner bintabaht area is shut down and redeveloped, the better off Hua Hin will be. Sure, the beach is 10 minutes walk through a crowded mosquito infested crappy walkway. The poor stressed out ponies are kept standing in the hot sun at the foot of the stairs. Enjoy the stench of horse urine. It's the worst part of the beach; narrow and rocky with the effluent from the illegal fish restaurants drifting over. The "restaurants" crowd out the beach with their illegal chairs and tables selling their diarrhea inducing fare. There are many affordable options between the Marriott past Market Village down to Bluport, on either side of the the road. The beach is better too. Dining options are less crowded and you won't have to sit and inhale car or cannabis fumes while you eat.
