Her father was a drunken bum, he died in his 30's, he was unhealthy.

Recently I have been wondering why normal private room Thai karaoke (no ladies) is so expensive. There's quite a few restaurants with the facilities in my area but charge at least 300baht per hour for a small room. Surely this is pricing out most customers. An extra 1,500 baht per night on top of the food and drink is a lot and stops us from going.

Lots going on in this exotic country of Thailand.

I think it the lack of interesting topics is because the staff are all farangs who live in a farang tourist bubble, and cannot speak Thai and as a result don’t and cant follow Thai news.

So they miss all the interesting stuff. 
 

There used to be a staff member called Rooster. He was a bit of a dick, however he could read Thai and did root out the interesting Thai news topics daily. And his job was to translate the Thai news which I don’t think anyone does now. 
 

I heard he left over a pay dispute with Cheeseman? Cheeseman can’t even pronounce Pattaya, let alone string a sentence of Thai together. 
 

So they result now is a Thai forum that is more centered around Trump, immigrants in the UK and other triggering topics that you would hear about in a bar fall of tourists in Thailand, not stuff that is about Thailand.

 

Most members while obsessed about Trump and Farage etc, would not be able to name the current Thai PM.

Well, trying to keep this thread on an interesting topic - (the health of young Thais):

 

My niece died a couple of years ago from TB at 18 years old

My hotel cook died at 28 years old from Aids

My hotel odd-job guy died at 18 years old after his GF's secret boyfriend shot him...

 

Nowadays most young Thais (men and women) seem to be obese

 

How much are they concerned by their health?  The Thai government provides 30 baht treatment when you get sick - my ex-wife got TB but luckily was diagnosed and received free medication for about a year until she was clean from this illness.

 

Is it all about karma (if you get sick and die, that's because you were meant to get sick and die, because you're a bad person...) ??

I'm sure there is people who are healthy who agree with you, and a comfort to those who are sick they will have a better life next time, if they just suffer enough this life.
