A calm request for quiet turned into a violent confrontation on Pattaya's beachfront, leaving two waitresses bloodied and bruised. Ms. Rosukon and Ms. Rungtiwa, aged 26 and 33 respectively, have come forward with allegations of an attack by a noisy group during their dinner outing, sharing evidence with local media and the police.

 

The incident unfolded in the Jomtien area as the waitresses dined at a seaside eatery after their shifts. Disturbed by a nearby table's rowdiness, reportedly involving two women—one of whom was said to be a foreigner—Rosukon politely asked them to lower their volume.

 

Her request was met with hostility, as the group launched into verbal abuse. Tensions escalated when one of the women allegedly accused Rosukon’s family, asking offensively if her parents were deceased, to which she calmly replied about her father’s death, unintentionally provoking further aggression.

 

Events quickly spiralled as one of the women reportedly grabbed Rosukon by the hair and attempted to assault her with a beer bottle. Despite Rosukon’s efforts to defend herself with a nearby chair, another attacker allegedly delivered a flying kick, knocking her to the ground. Both waitresses endured the attackers' blows as shocked tourists and locals yelled for the violence to cease.

 

After bystanders intervened to break up the fight, the assailants nonchalantly returned to their table and resumed drinking. The waitresses sought medical attention for their injuries and filed a police report, providing CCTV footage to corroborate their account amid worries that being "just waitresses" might hinder justice.

 

Pattaya police have received the video evidence and are actively working to identify and locate the suspects involved in the attack. The victims expressed hope that the public attention will ensure their case progresses and that their attackers are held accountable.

There is a big difference where there is conflict between customers and staff where staff asked someone to be quiet and conflict between two sets of customers where one group told another group to be quiet.

No one claimed they worked at that establishment. Neither did anyone claim they did not work at the establishment. 

 

The claim is that they were two off-shift waitresses eating at the establishment.  

 

I generally take the side of the people not making noise at a restaurant.

I feel sorry for the two girls who got battered and had to go to the police. I hope they catch the assailants and give them a good rollicking.

Not really. With some asking them to lower the volume will set them off
