He used it over 20 years ago. It's completely irrelevant.

Bourdain was working the days before his death. His co-workers said he was completely normal, not acting depressed or like a man with bipolar disorder. Neither of which he was every diagnosed with. Ever.

So what? Lots of people kill themselves and nobody knew. You're an ignorant idiot.

No he killed himself due to depression. The other woman can do what she likes. He doesnt own her.

  • The point being the leftist media has it out for males, the white ones mostly. Very sad, he was obviously a good person. People deserve to know the truth

And I say, how would they know? Most people who suffers from mental illness like depression or bp2 can act like they have no problems.

What crap. If nasty texts makes one kill themselves why doesnt everyone do it?

Because the balance of their mind, was altered.

Perhaps you should try to have compassion.

There is only one reason Bourdain killed himself:

"Five days before his death, Ms. Argento was photographed dancing with the French reporter Hugo Clément in the lobby of the Hotel de Russie in Rome, where she and Mr. Bourdain had stayed together. Mr. Bourdain was incensed, the book says; over the course of the next few days, he searched her name online hundreds of times, and the two argued over text and phone."

The only thing that hurt, he wrote, was that the tryst took place in the Rome hotel they loved. He asked for her mercy. She wrote, “I can’t take this.”

She told him she couldn’t stand his possessiveness, and could no longer stay in the relationship.

After the next day’s filming, Mr. Leerhsen reports, Mr. Bourdain went out by himself, and ate and drank a lot. He and Ms. Argento then had their last text exchange, which Mr. Leerhsen places at the start of his book:

Bourdain: Is there anything I can do?

Argento: Stop busting my balls

Bourdain: OK

That evening, he hanged himself.

As for him being "depressed", "bipolar" etc:

Two days before Mr. Bourdain died, he joined Mr. Ripert for a meal at JY’s, a two-Michelin-star restaurant owned by an old friend, the chef Jean-Yves Schillinger. After the meal, the three men headed to Freiburg, a German city 30 miles away, for late-night beers. Mr. Schillinger said Mr. Bourdain was welcomed like the star that he was, and seemed his old self.

Not just a witch, but what she did was criminal. In a similar case Michelle Carter was given 15 months jail for ecouraging suicide over text:

Carter was convicted of involuntary manslaughter in 2017. Roy, 18, took his life after Carter, then 17, told him over the phone and via text to get into his carbon monoxide-filled truck.

The case has sparked legislative proposals to criminalize suicide coercion. Massachusetts lawmakers have proposed "Conrad's Law," which would make convincing or manipulating someone into taking their life a crime punishable by up to five years in jail.

Obsessed. Not normal.

If anyone knows Cameroni in person can they reach out? Not joking, it genuinely sounds like the ramblings of an incel. So much hatred and vitriol, constantly, over and over again, for a case they know nothing about, for people they know nothing about, the language, hatred and disgust for the female whilst exonerating the male is very worrisome.

I honestly don't know why this language and disgusting vitriol is tolerated here.

The example you quote above involves young people, 18 and 17.  Impressionable, vulnerable perhaps. There is reason for the law to be involved, especially if one or some of the parties involved are still legally not considered adults.

But Bourdain was a man of the world, been through a lot: addiction, success, fame, marriages. My point being he should really have been able to take the breakdown of another relationship.

His own mother said about his suicide: 'He is absolutely the last person in the world I would ever have dreamed would do something like this.'

According to the article below there was more than one factor involved in his suicide.

In fact in that case too, many had argued "This is just a tragedy, he was just depressed, she bears no blame"

However, the courts disagreed. They found Ms Carter's texts had pushed the young man over the edge and caused his suicide, and she therefore deserved a custodial sentence. The law is only now catching up and creating an offience that penalises texts that cause suicide. This law will apply regardless of the age of the victim.

If one looks at the events that transpired just before Bourdain's suicide, there can be no doubt that Argento's texts had a causative role in precipitating Bourdain's suicide. In a very direct and immediate way. Her texts were the last communications he had with anyone.

He should have been able to survive Argent's betrayal, cheating and ending the relationship, sending him texts that were base and vile. Yes. He should have been able to. But he couldn't.

Men, all their lives are programmed to sacrifice, their lives if need be, for women. Men are the disposable sex, which is why male suicide rates are so much higher even though women have much higher propensity for depression, bipolar disorders and the like. However, culturally, men are taught to sacrifice themselves. For women.

In Bourdain's desperate love story, there was nothing more he could give. He already gave money. Support. Love. The only thing he could give, was his most precious thing, his life.

For him success, fame, money, meant nothing because he had it all for so long. His only elusive goal was a loving relationship with a woman. That he could never find. When his last opportunity to achieve it, as he saw it, was destroyed by Argento, I suppose his life had no meaning to him anymore.

Such a sad and tragic story. Werther come to life. Almost.

He did not.

Bourdain was never ever diagnosed with any mental health condition. He was never in treatment for any mental health issue.

He just made a throwaway remark in a Buenos Aires episode about the number  of therapists and quipped a bad hamburger could give him a depression..

He wrote about come down experiences from drugs in his first book, over 20 years ago.

At the time of his death Bourdain was neither diagnosed with any mental illness, nor in treatment , nor was he taking any medicine for any mental health issue.

He was NEVER diagnosed with bipolar disorders.

OK, OK. You seem to have alot invested in this thread. Did you know him? Have you thought about why this has affected you so deeply? Many of us liked him, but?

Who cares now. 7 years ago.

It's never worth killing yourself over a woman........but again he was a strange dude,

Pretty sure his constant drinking played a part in being depressed also.

Still watching rerun's of his shows as great TV .

As the final texts of Anthony Bourdain have emerged, we see a heart breaking story. Anthony Bourdain was madly in love with Asia Argento. Just before his death he saw photos of Argento kissing and hugging Hugo Clement. He had a heated exchange with Argento, who broke up with him. She had cheated on Bourdain in a hotel they had both loved and enjoyed together. Argento had the gall to claim Bourdain was "possessive" when she was fornicating with another man. Unbelievable. She tried to twist the narrative into Bourdain having had a mental illness, but there is no doubt now whatsoever that Bourdain killed himself as a direct consequence of Argento having sex with another man and breaking up with Bourdain. If you want to know what really happened watch this video.

A lot of attention for a cook.

Who cares really?

In his shows he talked quite often about his dark sides and moods. I saw that as just being a normal exceptionally intelligent person talking openly about what it feels like to be human.

I rather think we all know what that's like.

Exactly. He had achieved, wealth, fame, professional respect....the only thing left for him to achieve was a lasting and loving relationship with a woman.  He thought Argento was the best candidate for that.

Looking at Argento in the cold light of day it seems preposterous that he would choose her, of all people. We now know she is a cheater. A callous user. A rapist. A liar.

But Bourdain did not know that at the time he chose her. Why? Because she pretended she was another person altogether.

Think of Whitney Houston. Oh what an angel, we all thought looking at that orange album cover, listening to her voice, a princess among women. Well, turned out Whitney Houston was all her life pretending she was someone else, in reality she was a hard-nosed drug taking promiscuous girl who liked bad boys.

Or Mariah Carey, another woman who pretended she just wanted a Dreamlover, but it turned out she wanted the big diamond ring and took that music executive for all he had. Again, she pretended she was someone she was not.

Lady Gaga, tried to make us all believe in Pokerface she was a promiscuous good time girl, but actually she had mental health issues and was nothing like that.

Women, always pretend they are someone they are not. This is how Argento could persuade Bourdain she was a good candidate for a loving relationship. She deceived him. Only at thet end did he find out she was a cheat, a liar and cold hearted snake.

I really miss Bourdains programs on TV. I really enjoyed them. And as in so many cases, a damn female was involved in the final tragedy. "Itchy Bitches" are sadly everywhere! 😫

Me too. The man had something. His literary ambitions spilled over into his TV writing. He made sure his episodes were well written food for the mind, not just the eyes. Honest and unpretentious, with his heart in the right place, and yet a critical eye when called for. There's nobody making cookery programmes appealing the way he did.

Too bad Argento killed hiim with cheating, lies and deceit.

And 41 years old when he met her. With 2 children. But this is the power of female deception, she seduced Bourdain by pretending she was "cool", fearless, exciting, interesting, cute, a woman who knows how, and indeed a man, can make someone believe they are desirable, when they are clearly not. By hiding their true self, and making themselves appear attractive.
