So Long And Thanks For All The Fish - Ukraine bombs Russian Nuclear Bombers

Featured Replies

It's a very public humiliation of the Russian forces, long overdue. I love the underdog success story here; someone attacks you with bombers worth billions, you retaliate by taking those bombers out with cheap drones.

Asymmetric warfare at its finest, hopefully we'll see a lot more of this.

  • Terrible news.   Ukraine has escalated the war. We can only hope that Russia will be as calm as it ever was when faced with crisis.

  • Putin can stop the war any day he wants. Repeat often.

  • Wonderful news. Russia has been given a bloody noes by the country it attacked. Let's hope it leads to Putin ending up as Mussolini. Som nam frickin' naa.

Dear God! What does it matter if Putin and Russia has not declared war with Ukraine? The whole world knows they are at war. You are playing with words, exactly as the people in high positions think they can do.

It´s like daycare children. If I not say i am at war, I am not. Never mind, that I shoot and kill people in a neighboring country everyday.

The cold hard fact is that he invaded Ukraine, and started a war.

It matters a lot. So far Russia has used a fraction of it's available force (not talking nukes). If Russia declares war the escalation will be massive.

Russia also has drones. Lots of them and are producing thousands more every month. What we've seen is a complete change in the nature of warfare whilst at the same time seeing a protracted war of attrition.

The Russian haters will be gleeful about this.  However, this puts us on the brink of a nuclear war this evening.  It will be interesting to see what shakes (thermonuclear-wise) in the next 24 hours.  Russian nuclear doctrine calls for a nuclear counter-attack as would a similar strike on US nuclear assets. Expect some kind of very bright fireworks tonight at least in Ukraine.  My guess is the US/NATO just got the world war that their insane Neo-con want so badly.  Hope we're all here tomorrow.  Even better - I hope this is fake news.  If not?  As Doug Adam's dolphins said in A Hitchhikers Guide To The Universe as the Earth is about to be destroyed, "So long and thanks for all the fish."

I read about this on the discredited RT news they said a few planes caught fire but no serious damage however expect retaliation, not allowed to post links but agrees with your post

Putin has been very calm and measured.

Trump needs to stop funding Ukrainian. So many dark forces...

The solution is totally visible yet western lackey won't accept it.

In the end ... Russia will have Crimea and the Russian states and why not? Certainly why sacrifice western monies for this stupid war of attrition.

Let Ukraine fight on without US funding!

Have they?

Regarding drones, they're already shooting them by the hundreds on a daily basis at civilians.

My guess is STARLINK was used in this. Fair chance some of those on here applauding this amazing drone attack are Musk haters.

Everyone should know this. And by now everyone should know who is calling the shots, so to speak.  It isn't Zelensky and it doesn't seem to be Trump, who may well be out of the loop.

Blame the usual suspects.

Anyway, none of it bodes well for the people of Ukraine. I haven't looked at the news in the last hour or so, so for all I know, they may all be crispy critters by now.

We're now in a phase where the only relevant news cycle lasts for about 24 hours. Information more than a day old? Not so relevant.

Perhaps Putin will show some restraint. Otherwise, the Neocon warmongers win, they get the WWIII they're so desperately trying to start, and that will be the end of the world as we know it.  Sooner or later, that's where this is going, unless the war stops now.

Shutting down Starlink would certainly stop the drone attacks.

You live on fluffy clouds, right? So, you are saying that Russia is sending in their troops with just a fraction of the support they could have had, just to kill as many of their own as possible? Are you for real?

Of course it's an escalation.

Ukraine has attacked deep within Russia. Russia's nuclear doctrine envisages the use of nuclear weapons if the integrity of the Russian nation is endangered.

Poor Russia, maybe they can bomb more hospitals to make them feel big and strong.

It's not fair that Ukraine hit back.  Ukraine should grin and bare the invasion by Russia. Right?

No I'm not saying this. What I'm saying is Russia has a lot more than what we've seen. Don't be surprised to see the Oreshnik hypersonic missile being used in response to this drone attack.

It's a big hit that's for sure. Will it change the direction of the war? Probably not but maybe it does up Zelensky's hand in negotiations. On the battlefield Russia has the upper hand by far.

It doesn’t only impact Russia’s illegal war, the destruction of so many of Russia’s bombers will undoubtedly impact Russia’s ability to project power globally.

We already know Russia’s land based military equipment is ill maintained and falling apart, what makes anyone believe the same is not true of its Air Force?

:cheesy:. As I pointed out before Russia has NOT declared war on Ukraine. Yes, of course there is war but it's a "police action" according to Putin. An official declaration of war is a big step up. More rockets, more drones with targeting being broadened. The ground war will continue going the way it is but Putin might not stop after taking the four regions and having established a buffer zone which is underway with an increasing incursion into Sumy.

Since when is the world a fair place? We aren't living in a fairy tale.

In the real world, the usual suspects are madmen, desperately trying to start WWIII and apparently oblivious to what that would mean.  And I assure you, the outcome would not be "fair" to any human being alive today.

And as I've said, Ukraine is not calling the shots.

If this is true why is it that the front continues to move into Ukraine? If you're suggesting Russia is losing the ground war you are either ill-informed or delude.

Do the Russias have any agency?   Russia invades Ukraine then acts then acts like the victim.  You need to watch this video.

Because Putin is more than willing to pish away the lives of Russian and N.Korean troops.

An observable fact that does not detract from the other observable fact if Putin using old outdated tanks and vehicles.

No , Putin's red line has been breached big time. Now is the time Russia should show they were not bluffing.

No nukes , they have these kinetic weapons that will do the job.

The importance of hitting bombers is overstated.

Most bombing now is done by missiles and drones.

As the EU is willing to sacrifice Ukrainian's in it's proxy war with Russia.
