The issue is with Bangkok Bank transfers, I set a transfer on Saturday from my U.K. bank only 10000 baht, it won’t be in my account till today Wednesday, in the past it only took seconds,

Yesterday (Tuesday) was a government holiday, but I would have expected the transfer to have arrived on Monday. When I transfer funds from the U.S. "for long term stay in Thailand" it arrives at 2:00PM that day. If I transfer funds for any other reason it takes seconds.

There have been a number of issues reported regarding the time taken to complete Wise transfers to Thailand.

Last Friday I transfered 5,000 baht directly from my UK Wise account to Krung Thai bank, it took 9 seconds to complete.

Today, Monday, I transfered 4,000 baht to the same Krung Rhai account, again complete in 9 seconds. I also transfered 18,500 baht to a Krung Sri  (yellow) Bank account which akso conpleted in 9 seconds.

Having read of so many problems regardibg Wise transfers to Thailand recently, I am happy to report this excellent service from  Wise

The bank holiday did not affect the deposit of my transfers in the two Thai accounts.

I have made two transfers recently to Krung Thai and Krungsri to two different, new, payees, both arrived in moments.

So nowadays it's news when a Wise transfer actually arrives? Amazing!

Who know what the OP's motivation is for starting this thread. It's seems to be a common theme; someone starts a thread about an issue they're having and someone immediately claps back with "well I've been here a thousand years and never had any problems so you must be doing something wrong".

Why not ask him if you're that bothered about it?

Because he probably won't be able to give a sensible answer, as is usual for this forum. Case in point: your response to my post.

The issue appears to be with Bangkok Bank only, my transfers to Krungsri go through in seconds, Bangkok Bank transfers are taking days.

There's a fair bit of misinformation out there currently about Bangkok Bank, Wise say there is no issue, people often forget the impact of weekend, holidays and the 2pm process, all we see is moans

Made 2 x 40.000 baht transfers from wise. 1 transfer to Krung thai Bank that arrived after a few seconds as stated in the wise app before I confirmed the transfer. The second transfer was to Krungsri and arrived wednesday which was also stated in the wise app before I confirmed the transfer.

I put more stock into such threads when there is a technical explanation rather than a social one. For instance, I have never had a problem with Wise, but I always use the phone app and never transfer from a PC.

I do see people claiming they “have been in Thailand 30 years and never been ripped off by a taxi or tuk-tuk.” I am sure those people are lying, probably about being in Thailand at all. Thai people are regularly ripped off by taxis, so maybe those enlightened foreigners can teach Thai people how to do it.

Due to transferring on w/e plus 2 bank holidays in Thailand! I transfer via Wise to BB and it's never been instantaneous -always the next day by 2.15 excluding w/e and bank holidays

Yes there was the very odd occasion it took a day but usually in seconds until 2 weeks ago. The frustrating thing is when you contact WISE their answer is transfers can take 1-5 days, no reason why they are not going through to BB in seconds yet they do with my Krungsri account ?

Any issues using Wise to transfer Thai baht FROM Thailand TO a US bank?

Cannot

You can, but it's convoluted and expensive.

I explained the process on here previously but the at that time the mod in the banking forum that started off all the crazy tax palaver shouted me down, but I can assure it was, and still probably is, possible.

It still depends on your bank. I've had a TMB/Ttb account since the early 1990s. Today I tried to make a Wise transfer to pay my rent and got the message "The recipient bank currently does not support cross border remittances". So TTb is still not on the list of preferred banks. Does anyone know if this is a legal/formal change or a work in progress thing?  I guess I will have to get a new bank account with all the inconvenience that involves. Pah!

As I already quoted the issue is with Bangkok Bank transfer times, all  the other banks nothing has changed with transferI times.
