They “care”, that’s all that matters to virtue signaling leftists. That what they do actually hurts the people they pretend to help matters not.

“It’s the thought that counts.”

Maybe the Israelis should have let her in, and just left her there. She would not have lasted long with her attitude in a very chauvinistic and doctrinaire society. Her lack of clothing would have gotten physically abused. It would have been hilarious if she  had talked back to a Hamas commander.

You're right.

But much as I dislike Thunberg, the inevitable outcome of a scantily clad, opinionated, Western female playing the hero to Hamas soldiers is not something I would wish on even the gobbiest lefty Karen.

The joke to all this is that the protests are lead by entitled people that have never been there.  I have a suggestion take all these lgtbq members and people like Greta and let them drive the trucks into gaza and have to stay 48 hours in an hamas camp

Sadly, she'll get hired on somewhere, just for being famous.  As if she earned any of that fame on her own.  She's been used as a tool.  And they'll keep on using her.  Until she no longer serves their purposes.

Greta should have watched the video. She could have acknowledged the horrors of October 7th, and then claimed what is happening to the average Palestinian via the IDF remains unjust and a peace treaty is the only way forward. But she lacks the intellectual rigor to rise above being a global useful idiot who sticks to the script and has no desire to remove her binders. Claiming she was kidnapped and abused is narcissistic victimhood and a disservice to the actual hostages suffering in Hamas tunnels.

Is she in it for the money or as a gen uine actavist?

How rich is Greta Thunberg now?

Despite her fame and influence, Thunberg's net worth remains modest. As of 2025, various estimates place her net worth between $1 million and $2 million. This includes income from book royalties, public speaking engagements, and award stipends.

Not bad at age 22.

Activism has been extremely lucrative for her then. How much she made from the selfie yacht would be interesting to know. Her social media post sponsorships are probably quite handsomely rewarded. A Hamas associated  member organized the trip

To be fair, you should include the other half of the article. She consistently donated the majority of her earnings to environental and humanitarian causes. For instance, she donated a million pound from her Gulbenkian Prize for Humanity to many prganizations.

This is her full time job!!

Where else would a 22 year old not very intelligent girl with Autism make upwards of $2M???

And don't give me that "she gives most of it to charity" crap - that is all part of the business model

She is a multi millionaire of the back everything she has done - end of 🍻

It's all part of the act. She still gets more than your average 22 year old.

I wouldn't define her as a multi millionaire if she is known to be worth between $1-2 million and still stay in her mum's modest home and own no real estate properties. When she have assets worth several million dollars, you can come back and decry her as a multi-millionaire. She does donate most of her earnings.

What do you expect? For years she has been told time and time again how great and special she is around the world. I guess these comments are a part of her growing pains and coming of age. That's life.

Let's see how she handles it with humility or pomp?

I saw the BBC report on this alleged "kidnapping at sea" and the reporter actually sounded serious.  I thought the sandwhich the IDF gave to Greta actually looked pretty good.  Is throwing your "phones into the sea" good for the enviornment?  Also, was the yacht solar powered or good old diesel?

You have a point.   The majority of these naive people have never dealt with the Arab culture.

Not a good read for Israel to stop an aid boat of peaceful young people.

Israel was saving them from themselves.
