There will definitely be damage after 200 squats, absolutely no doubt about that. But, I highly doubt, that the student was able to do 200 in a row with no breaks in between. That’s pretty much impossible. Will 200 really result in liver damage? I’m not saying it’s impossible, but 200 squats seems too low a number. 
 

Back in the day I bought Arnold’s bodybuilding Bible and then went down to the fitness center to work out for the first time in ages. I used his beginner training plan that’s mentioned in the book and used the recommended weight and did a full workout. Following that I’ve spent the 4 most excruciating weeks of my life. My arms were locked and my legs barely worked. Turning around in my sleep used to wake me up for the first 2 weeks because of the pain. Needless to say my muscles were f.cked! But I didn’t sustain any liver damage and I think it’s safe to say that more of my muscles were wrecked that that of this student because I trained my arms as well that day. But then again, just because it didn’t happen to me, doesn’t mean it can’t happen to someone else. 

For the legs I did 5 sets of 15 repetitions, but I used 20 kilos of weight plus the weight of the bar, which either another 10 kg, which all together was almost half my body weight back then.

I'm paying for all the squats I did heavy from age 17 until around 56. Never listened to the older gym men who told me it would come back and get me later. Hurt my knees and hips and also shoulders with the heavy benches and presses. Live and learn.

Look at Ronnie Coleman. He went real heavy all the time and is massively paying the price. He’s a wreck. His spine is fused more or less completely, double hip replacement, copious amounts of pain killers on a daily basis, etc. The human body is just not meant to carry weight that heavy! There’s also certain exercises that will wreck you, like the machine leg press for example, that one is poison for your lower discs.

Yep, I didn't listen. I worked out like I was competing, even though I didn't care to. Full squats with extreme weight just to see what I could do. That leg press I did over a 1000 lbs in it. Luckily my lower back was strong, although I do feel a few strains when I doing things like bending over to pick something up light. I was never a huge person but like you mentioned, even those really big guys you see walking all crooked when they're in their  60"s.

I agree with you to a point however, schools have to have some sort of discipline. There needs to be a code that is set and the parents and teachers understand it and explain it to students.

 

Right now, Somchai can tell the teacher to F off and call him or her anything under the sun, and nothing is done.  

When I was in school a friend of mines mother stated that if her sons got he strap she would beat the hellout of the principal  We never go the strap from him but man did he come up with eays to piss us off and get our attention.  

 

Parents have no responsibility now, they send Somchai to day care at the age of 2, and then he leaves daycare at age 18 If the school has a problem with Somchai they do not want to hear it.  

 

Set the rules set what is reasonable and what will happen.  Then let the parents handle it when he is sent home. or complains.

 

The hardest group to teach is the Mat students a that are in /10-/15  these kids know that they will finish at 16 no matter what they do.

 

Bring in trades training for them so they can start to learn something that interests then and includes things like math and science.

The answer is fairly simple: the teacher must do 200 squats in the manner of his pupil or lose his job and license to teach.
