I used to get this channel on cable TV but changed condo recently and it does not have it.

I used to have a few links to stream it free, but none is working now. Anyone knows any free streaming links, please PM me.

I'm not talking about usual BBC News channel, normal one, I can get that already via VPN and iPlayer, or other free links, but this World service is very hard to get online...!

I have a TV box, and used to get it via an app there too, but it stopped working a month ago.. 🙄, I'm willing to install free apps too...

I listen to it via the BBC Sounds app, although they are threatening to withdraw it for overseas listeners soon.  It will still be available from the BBC website or the TuneIn radio app.

At least something I guess, l prefer with video..., for travel and tech programs etc. ...

I can't believe they are threatening to stop the sound only even...! They have ads on that service, most news outlets are happy for more people watching their program..., you wonder about BBC sometimes...! 🙄🤔

Then you need BBC iPlayer, and a VPN.

Alas the BBC is no longer what it used to be. It's no longer a neutral news source. It's in the same basket now as all MSM. ABC in Australia an CBC in Canada are also in the same basket.

I already have that, but BBC World News service is not broadcast on iPlayer or any UK channels, it's for international viewing only - but damn hard to get...!

I use a website called the tv app (to.thetvapp.net). The app itself wasn't available here when I first looked but the website works well, at the moment at least. There are quite a lot of news/entertainment/documentary channels to choose from.

That is interesting

BBC stations are not on TuneIn IF you're in UK.

I hadn't realised i could get them on TuneIn outside UK.  Are you sure that's still the case?

There is a free app on the iPhone App Store (and, I assume, Google too) -- search for "BBC World Service" -- the icon is red.  It gives you live World Service streaming, plus access to many shows you may have missed or want to listen to right now.  Works great for me

As of last night, yes.  All BBC stations plus others like LBC are on TuneIn.

Next time i'm in Thailand i'll open TuneIn and have a listen.

I'm into Radio 4 Extra for comedy and BBC6 Music.

The great thing about going to Thailand is that I can't get the BBC. Despite have in to pay for the damn licence. I some times wish that it wasn't available in the UK.

You think BBC is biased, take a look at other news channels...! It's just relatively speaking now, there is no news channel left on this planet without some agenda or bias..., what do we do, get news from Facebook...! 🙄

Relatively speaking I like BBC comparing to others, and over the years I know when they lean to one side a bit in some occasion and account for that. Try watching Fox or CNN for 5 minutes...! 🤔
