Following the U.S. Q1/25 GDP growth (shrinkage) data, the US June 25 Private Sector Jobs Data has shown up with  33,000 loss v expectations of 115,000 gain.

We now ‘look forward’ to the inflation data.

The dismal jobs report leads to a delightful 'ooops' moment on Fox.😄

Fox Host Quickly Changes Tune After Jobs Report Misses the Mark

"“The expectations call for the ADP numbers to be up 95,000 for the month of June.” But when the ADP report showed that the private sector lost 33,000 jobs last month—the first drop in more than two years—the Fox host had to redirect the conversation.

“Right now, [I’m] seeing the number actually show a decline in jobs, down 33,000 on ADP,” she said before quickly pivoting to the Golden Dome missile defense system touted by Trump."

You need to learn to take the L.

I'll be more explicit for you. 🙂

The thread is about private sector jobs. The relatively good June numbers are due to government jobs.

Must be state employees then.  Because Federal workforce was reduced again.  Saving US taxpayers mo' money every month since the inauguration.  As promised.

BTW, I came across this tidbit, for anyone wanting to duplicate the "California Economy" by voting for Newsom.  (Or any Dem, for that matter- look at all those Dem run cities...)

Yes, State and local employees.

More generally, it's mostly sectors less affected by tariffs which are showing a job growth.

The labor force also shrank by around130,000 workers, helping to decrease the unemployment rate.

I wonder how many of them took the $1000 and a free airplane ticket back home?  Leaving more jobs for 'Murricans.
