Winning here means nothing. it only shows how much time you're here with inane topics. Putting people that argue with your comments as lefties is yet another assumption. Some others do this because it's the "in" thing to do. You exaggerate constantly, making up stats that aren't valid whatsoever. You think others here are miserable yet you're here causing arguments just for the sake of arguing, and again, contributing nothing. I know if everyone here met me, almost all would like me, as talking in person with body language, along with faster responses and facial expressions says a lot more than typed words. Some, like you and that select few, I wouldn't get along with for a reason. All of my life, the only people I didn't get along with in person have proven to be mentally ill.

Tomorrow is German breakfast with a pal, followed by coffee in Kings park, and a walk along the river.

 

Life is what you make of it, you gotta get out and about, look at what's happening.

Sitting around inside being bored, is a choice you've made.

I didn't say I was bored all the time. I have a nice Thai girlfriend, one I'd like to take back with me, but likely she'll stay to take care of her parents and will only visit me.

 

I said Thailand is mostly a boring place, which I and many others have agreed on. Yes, you can keep busy doing the same things every day, and if that satisfies you, all the better. i didn't say all people here are bored. Obviously some like it, and I have friends here that also like it, but every one of them are here because of wives, and stay because their wives don't want to leave. Some of them have houses in their own countries and leave half of the year.

 

I never said Thailand was a bad place. I see clearly and have known way before I moved here what it was like, which was proven since then. It's not for me, and not a good place for females. That, along with me not able to enjoy my hobbies, will have us leaving. To each heir own. Where you're comfortable you stay.

Most people rate Chiang Mai in the top 3 or 4 cities. Most people say Isaan villages are boring. I always think before I speak. I've been to 90% of Thailand too so have done the research.

 

Enjoying Thailand and dating the locals comes down to enjoying what's on offer. Attractive soft 40 to 60kg women, outdoors, Buddhist way of life.

Chiang Mai I'd like to se, if only for the tribe people and old city. Most of Thailand is much the same. Interchangeable villages and towns and I've been to many. I really don't think any Thai has been to 90% of Thailand. Even many of the professional drivers will never see half of the country as they stay on major roads and deliver only to certain places. I lived in New Jersey 30 years, hunting, fishing and traveling, everyday with many friends and family in many cities, and only saw a small percentage of the place, although I would still like to go back there and see more. Thailand's beaches are nice, but tourism will ruin them all if it continues the same. I will go back to America, and I'll never see but a small percentage of what it has to offer, and I lived there 62 years.  I could fish a new lake every day for 100 years and still not see half of them, not including ponds..

America is massive. Thailand is pretty small.
