I am curious about the procedure to transfer my vehicle to my son. What documents are needed, and can this be accomplished if I am out of the country or simply unable to be present? What are the costs involved if this is not deemed a sale but simply a transfer to a family member with no exchange of money? 

Signed copy of passport. Signed DLT transfer of ownership form. Take car and signed papers with reg book to DLT office. Son must show his ID
