I don't consider myself an alpha male.

I mostly succeed at what I do. I am in control of my finances and health.

However, I have no desire to control others.

I can't say I was a good leader when I was in management. I mentored the people who were going somewhere. OTOH, the slackers hated me. I was far more comfortable in a non-supervisory role.

Pigeonholes are for pigeons.

I didn’t say control others, but take control and being a leader, and someone other people listen to and respect for who they are, and not what they try to be.

I haven’t claimed being an alpha either, because what some people reckonings as alpha I am not interested in, and also Im shy of conflicts until Im forced to do something. Mostly things works out and I find solutions without conflicts.

However, history is littered with the stories of Alpha males who were discarded by women, Elvis Presley, Cary Grant, Don Frye, Tom Brady, the list is endless.

Maybe a lot of these guys were sleeping around.

Maybe they just chose the wrong woman. But if you're rich, you can have any woman anyway so a course correction is no big deal.

Maybe rich guys rely too much on their wealth. Money is not sufficient to keep a relationship going.

She prepares my food, does my laundry, washes the dishes, and cuts my toenails. Does a massage when I am tired. She is 23 years younger than me, great body.

She prays to Buddha every night for a long life for me.

Beta - guilty as charged. ATM -guilty as charged. I view the relationship as a screaming bargain.

IMO the OP is as shallow as a mud puddle.

Mines similar ..... 24 years younger than me and simply gorgeous, makes sure I eat healthy food, encourages me to exercise, actively supports our business and we still have regular fun in the bedroom .... the kitchen; the bathroom and recently in a swimming pool (not recommended).

While she's a strong 10, I must be a 4 on a good day ..... which makes me a Gamma Man .... but she says she likes my "3-dimensional face" AKA big nose.  I don't think I'm particularly smart either, but I think I have good emotional intelligence and have built strong teams in several countries to create successful businesses.

Of course Alpha men sleep around, and the women who get him know that and accept that. Until they get used to the benefits the Alpha brings, and achieve material success in their own right. Then it becomes about power and some women cannot accept sharing the Alpha anymore.

It is well documented that Priscilla knew Elvis was philandering and accepted it. Until she achieved material wealth in her own right, and of course that feeling of being in love fades. No matter how good looking he (or she) is, how rich, how many benefits he brings, ultimately you get used to them and they lose the meaning they once had.

Elvis of course did choose the wrong woman, he should have chosen Ann Margret, a kindred spirit, and he knew it, but he felt compelled to stay married to Priscilla, despite his philandering. Men are like that. Women are quick to divorce, men are not. He therefore did not pursue Ann Margret, and thus his opportunity with her was lost.

Undoubtedly the loss of Priscilla hit Elvis hard, his music, his antics of shooting TVs when Karl Stone came on, his discussion to have Priscilla's lover killed, all these things showed it hit hm hard. Plus he lost his daughter of course.

So I would say, even for a rich Alpha with fame, a course correction is a big deal.

Sure, he could have good looking great women, after her. But really, a woman who reaches all the parts other's can't reach doesn't come by so often. How many times do you meet a "best friend? Very rarely.

To keep a relationship going is inordinately difficult, because it takes two parties. And it starts new every day. Even for Alphas.  Money, whilst a requirement, is certainly not sufficient.

not all guys are looking for that.

in thailand many guys happy to trade resources for a younger body.

remember andre agassi the tennis guy? when he was with brooke shields he kept losing.

then he hooked up with steffi graff, much less attractive and older, and started winning again.

Which is fine in a way, if all you want is a young body, it's much easier. The body wil become less enticing after a while though, as you get used to it. For me nothing less than a Yu Yu Sai or a Doobydopap would do, I need a woman with spirit and personality.

Yes, I think there is something very off with Brooke Shields anyway, as was to be expected of one who was lauded for her beauty so young. But  then something was off  with Agassi as well, as he pursued a woman 28 years older than him, Streisand. Anyway, he lucked out and hit the jackpot with someone who's a kindred spirit. That's always the best. Graf is obviously a great person.

Perhaps Shields was so demanding in the sack Agassi was exhausted by the time he got to a match. Who knows?

Yes, sex with a younger person is perhaps more enjoyable. OTOH, some of my best sex has been with a 60 yo. Horny as an owl with two peckers.

There is another reason for hooking up with someone younger.

When the ages are equivalent, it is a coin toss who dies first. Or who has to take care of whom.

My former wife is 2 years younger than me. She has advanced Alzheimers.

I am very confident my GF will outlive me.

Andre Agassi found the right Alpha woman he needed

So-called super team

I met an alpha male once in Pattaya.

A short bald American man. Stamping his feet insisting he was an alpha male. I laughed in his face and walked away.

He neither deserved nor got any respect from me.

Neither do I want my partner to become a full-time nurse for the last x remaining years of my life.

I don't want to be a burden on anyone. And even though nursing homes look like hell, it's better to have people who are paid to look after you than burden your spouse for years on end.

You are probably fantasizing about being an alpha male. IME most die bitter and lonely men.

You certainly are the great white hope.

How Thais survived without your knowledge all these centuries is mind boggling.

I prefer my room like a 5 star hotel than a government room with 5 others.

I get it.  That’s all you can afford.  Save/invest more in your next life.

I pity the poor woman who has to go through the agony of looking at your feet.

Some people give up on relationships/marriage after a string of bad experiences. It takes its toll on you.

And many girls in Thailand will make high demands for support, which I guess scares people off.

That's something else than claiming everyone fits one box and feel the need to pull everyone else down to their level, and it seems a bit mental when you feel the need to repeat the same mantra in every thread relationships are mentioned.

Relationships have been a mutual beneficial contract since the beginning, you just have to understand how it works, and how it is beneficial for both parts and not a one way highway.

It's only mutually beneficial depending on your partner and your ability to attract a good partner. And your luck in finding one.

And since we are not living in an ideal world, P4P persists. P4P may only be temporary for some, until they find the right partner anyway.

But there are also those who have had so many bad relationships that they give up.

It's hard to keep bouncing back. It takes its toll on you.

Still no good excuses to downgrade everyone down to their level.

I'm not saying I know everything, but I'm willing to put in the effort to make things work with the right partner, and also learn of earlier mistakes as new mistakes, and not least understand when you being taken for a ride or to the cleaners, sometimes it seems the most vulnerable experience both before dumped.

Some for it from birth, other have to learn, while some never will.

As the thread ask, who are you?

How much do you charge?

Why? For those of us who refuse to pay the medical mafia for health insurance, government hospitals are a great option, as there are some truly outstanding public hospitals in Thailand, and they cost a fraction of what private hospitals cost.

The way I look at it is relationships are kind of like a boat, and all boats need a captain. The rules here are quite a bit different than they are in the West, and most Thai women prefer a man who is strong, decisive and stable. Alot of times women here prefer the man to make alot of the decisions, however if he brings his old habits with him from the West and refuses to behave like a man she has no choice but to become the captain of the ship and take over.

And I then feel sorry for those beta fools, but they allowed it to happen, and they brought it on with their passivity and weakness, or bizarre notions of femininity or required female dominance.

Pick a different battle brother, nothing wrong with your woman cutting your nails. My American wife does mine every couple of weeks, its one of the ways she serves me.

As for the hospitals, I've never been in one here so I have nothing.

First married a woman from Scotland in 1963. Divorced her in 1986. Played the field in Thailand and Taiwan for a couple of years. Met a lovely Thai lady in 1988, married her in 1990. Still happily married to her in 2025. Alpha or Beta ? I have no idea.
