Elevator says:Thais are pathological liars

Featured Replies

According to my hotel elevator in Phnom Penh, the Siamese are scheming liars. These posters were plastered all over the elevator in a hotel where 90 % of the guests are farang and non SEA Asians :

Sorry about that. But it's a long list of all the lies proffered by the Thai press and the Thai government justifying their military strikes, and painting the Khmer as the aggressor.

It goes without saying that Hun Sen and his lovely offspring, General Hun Manut, are totally incapable of dishonesty and deceit. They have nothing but the welfare of their people in mind.

It's not your fault  the forum software seems to excessively squish

images with lots of text..sometimes  but not always for some strange reason.

Not surprising from Scambodia, they were looking for trouble and were chased away with their tails between their legs. Put me off going there again

With those kinds of messages, you will not win the war.
It is still who has the biggest, incredibly childish, there is already enough misery in the world.

Again, it says enough regarding the intelligence level on both sides.

Perhaps we shouldn't only point the finger at Cambodia, Thailand is just as bad, to believe one side over the other is simply naive.

I thought you were talking about my wife and son. Never mind the politician and military.  They are honest hard working people and protecting the country.

"Elevator says:Thais are pathological liars"

I thought you are talking about a Thai  elevator,  and was wondering,  how can an elevator understand Thai people so well?

Cambodia have a great history and traditions to look back on, so I guess this propaganda strengthen their Nationalism in a great matter.

Have a look at Rattanakosin Siam borders  and the 1893 Franco-Siamese crisis

It says it all when the wife of the Cambodian PM posted that the Thais were dropping "poison smoke" with images to back it up! The images were of planes dropping fire retardant in LA though - oops.

But it works, I have Cambodian ex-clients who are FB friends and they have posted similar stuff, even showing a Malaysian air force display with jets with smoke trails and saying it is disgusting that Thailand is using "poison smoke".

It's sad that they believe what they are told and one poster here (who lives in Cambodia) claimed Thailand is blocking access to its news sites from Cambodia as they don't want them to know the truth. Of course it is the Cambodian government who have blocked them from accessing Thai websites.

Thailand is not squeaky clean in many areas but there is no doubt that Cambodia's propaganda is off the scale. Neighbours should be friends, it is very sad.

Interesting. That explains why I get a "access denied message" every time I try to read the nation online news. I am in Kampot.
