I agree with you, except I have Man Utd & Liverpool to win. I certainly understand why you think Chelsea & Black Cats can win though. Let's see.

A bit hit and miss for me. Well done Gary for getting United.

Gunners top. Three defeats on the spin for Pool. Irons in trouble. Cherries doing just great.

Toffeez v Palace the pick of today's games for me.

Coventry!! Any team going away and hitting five is exceptional. They go top. Both Sheffields are right in big doodoo.

My three to come into the EPL next season.

Foxes, Saints, Light Blues.

In the next couple of years I'd like to see Dragons, Orient and The Boro in the EPL. Replacing United, Pool and Spurs. Now, wouldn't that be something?

  • I was not expecting Everton to be above Liverpool on the table with 15 games gone. It is so tight from Number 4 to Number 12 and this is what makes Premier League really interesting.

  • Interesting call.  Liverpool to fall to 4th. I suppose Salah & VVD are certainly getting on. They could still sign Isak.  I can't see Palace finishing that high.  Will they even kee

I keep an eye on the Championship. Some good old teams down there.

Foxes & sky-blues are good calls.

Just hope it's not Millwall.

I know this is hard.

Transfer window is not closed.

But only 7 days until the season begins.

My predictions as follows for top 7 & bottom 5:

1.  Liverpool           16.  West Ham

2.  Chelsea              17.  Wolves

3.  Arsenal              18.   Sunderland

4.  Man City            19.   Leeds

5.  Newcastle         20.   Burnley

6.  Aston Villa

7.  Man Utd

The promoted 3 have bought new players, but are they PL standard?

Time will tell. 🤔

I'm guessing it's boring because it's the usual suspects at the top of the table.

Always enjoy watching some footie highlights on YouTube. 👍

Last 2 matches:

Hearts vs Hibs.

Ipswich vs Norwich.

Dreaded International break coming up Gary. Can't say I'm enthused about International footy.

I'm keeping 'em Xed that The Cherries can keep it going. But! Why is there no fan involvement on the board? This club was on its knees a few years ago. Missed opportunity for the fans there to buy the club.

The Owls are the same. 10k fans all putting on a thousand could buy the control at Hillsboro.

Watched the highlights of their home thrashing recently vs Coventry. The Weds home end was pretty much empty. Sad.

Watched the highlights of Cardiff v Orient. Good game, with Bluebirds winning 4-3. That Orient third goal was really something. Would be right up there for goal of the season if it had been scored in the EPL.

I'll give it a watch.

After what seems years we are back in action today. First match up Forest v Blues.

1-2 - Forest v Blues

3-2 - Seagulls v Toon

0-2 - Clarets v Peacocks

3-2 - Palace v Cherries

4-0 - City v Toffeez

2-0 - Black Cats v Wolves

1-1 - Cottagers v Gunners

2-2 - Spurs v Villa

0-0 - Pool v United

2-1 - Irons v Beez

My two favourite EPL teams match up today. I'd like to see both get into the top reaches; and stay there. Something has to give. Sorry Cherries.

Pick of the Championship games for me; Rangers v Lions (QPR v Millwall). Sky Blues  to leapfrog Boro.

Go Jam Tarts go! Is this the first season for over 40 years when the title leaves Glasgow?

Good game in Paris last evening 3-3 v Strasbourg.

Millwall climb into the playoffs.

I'll watch highlights today of:

QPR vs Millwall.

Charlton vs Weds.

Bradford vs Barnsley.

Hearts going great. Good to see.

I watched Seagulls vs Toon yesterday.

Decent match.

As for prem predictions. Not going well.

I've only got Blues, City & Gunners so far. Another tough weekend.

Bradford 2 Barnsley 2.

Barnsley's first goal was from 10 yards inside his own half. Worth checking out.

Top of the table looking rather different at present. Well done Black Cats & Cherries.

Wolves & West Ham in real trouble at the other end.

Hearts 3 Celtic 1. Good watch. 👍

Go, go go Cherries and Black Cats.

Hearts are trailblazing. I've nothing against Celtic or Rangers, but I'm rooting for the Jam Tarts to break the 40+ year mold.

FA Cup 1st round.

Haven't checked out all the ties.

Will do so later.

I still think it's a special competition.

Watching all the build-up as a young lad was amazing.

The first match I can actually recall watching on TV was Leeds vs Sunderland. 🏆

I agree Gary. Specially, if you are a supporter of a tiddler who has made it to this stage.

First round is where the past top doggies match up with the minnows.

This week's predictions:

2-1 - Seagulls v Peacocks

0-2 - Clarets v Gunners

2-1 - Palace v Beez

3-1 - Cottagers v Wolves

1-2 - Forest v United

2-2 - Spurs v Blues

2-1 - Pool v villa

2-1 - Irons v Toon

2-1 - City v Cherries

3-0 - Black Cats v Toffeez

A couple of tricky ones. Got Irons and Pool down as winning for a change. Gunners to move further ahead.

I'm adding Black Cats to my teams-to-watch list, and taking Toffeez out. I reckon Black Cats can do top 6. Cherries too; but have a toughie today. Hoping for a shock there.

Well done Dragons last evening. Great result, beating the leaders, especially being down at HT.

Black Cats to go second tonight.

If they win, it will be my best week's predictions so far; 8/10.

Well, Black Cats didn't win and next week they host The Gunners. Probably an away win with a goal or two coming from a set-piece.

Must admit I preferred watching Henry, Bergkamp & Pires in the past.

One of my all-time faves; Liam Brady.

I like Henry until he put the ball into the net with his hand for France.

Liam Brady was the best player I've ever seen live. David (Rocky) Rocastle was also one of my favourites.

Can the Black Cats breach The Gunners defense this weekend? 8 consecutive clean sheets. Only 3 goals conceded in 14 PL & CL matches. Could be becoming the best defensive unit ever. Even the backup players are strong. 🪨

He was exceptional for sure. and very consistent. Rarely had a 'poor' game.

Others that I've seen down the years that were superb on the day, and sometimes for a season.

Danny Blanchflower, Trevor Brooking, Matt le Tissier. Ruud Gullit was some player also. Denis Law. Johnny Haynes. Have to put Stevie G And Frank L up there too.

Denis Law was the best player I ever saw with his back to the goal. A shimmy or two, and he had lost the defender and the ball was in the net. Zinedine Zidane was also good at losing defenders. But I never saw him play live.

A few years ago I asked my brother-in-law who is a Utd fan who his favourite ever player was. I was expecting him to say George Best, but he said Dennis Law.

I think it will be a 2-2 draw between Man City and Liverpool.

I do predictions every weekend with family back in the UK.

This weekend was tough, but I did okay. 7/10. Failed by predicting wins for Arsenal, Brighton & Newcastle.

Started well with Spurs 2 Utd 2.

I predicted City 3 Liverpool 2.

The best I have done so far this season is 7/10. Let's see if I can better that after the international break.

0-3 - Clarets v Blues.

3-1 - Cherries v Irons

2-0 - Seagulls v Beez

1-3 - Cottagers v Black Cats

2-0 - Pool v Forest

0-2 - Wolves v Palace

0-2 - Toon v City

1-1 - Peacocks v Villa

2-1 - Gunners v Spurs

2-1 - United v Toffeez

The two that I'm most unsure of is the London derby and the Old Trafford match. Still waiting for Toffeez to spring into action. Could be this one.

All the others are easy.

Keeping me fingers Xed for the Jam Tarts tomorrow when they travel to The Dandies' home. Can't afford to drop any points, if they are to break through for a very historic title win.

Best match up for me in the Championship; Owls v Blades.

Never say that.

I have 3 different to you.

Seagulls/Bees to draw.

Cottagers/Black Cats to draw.

Villa to win at Leeds.

Goodluck. 👍

What! I've never been so far out. Black Cats, Pool and City all got whacked.

Cherries should have won their match against the Irons. According to the stats anyway.

Irons hardly got out of their own half in the second 45.

Fairly late goals for Brighton and Fulham ruined it for me ... among others. 👎

The Championship:

Always watch some interesting highlights over the weekend.

Coventry City looking very good.

Norwich could well be relegated.

Still early days, but the battle for a playoff spot is unbelievable. Only 6pts separates 4th down to 17th. Almost anyone can pretty much beat anyone.
